MOJO188 Square Sympathy

This is for this weeks MOJO sketch challenge from Verve. The last week of the month they challege us to make a round or square card.  I used these great papers from Basic Grey's Marjoline, with some new Always Artichoke seam binding.   I made it look like crinkled ribbon by getting it wet and then scrunching it up. (The idea came from Stacey Shaeffer's blog) The stamps are from the Kind Words set.  I used some light blue perfect pearls for my accents.  The little flowers are from Amazing Wishes, and were stamped with Always Artichoke and then cut out.  The centers were made using a hole punch and then glued into the flowers.  I'll be sending this to my best stamping friend...

Riding the PTI Bug

This clean and simple card was made for the Papertrey Ink challenge this week.  They had a wonderful tutorial to help me out!  They're also concentrating on "Guy" type cards, so I pulled my Enjoy the Ride set.  This really is a clean and simple card for me, it was hard not to add some bling!  But I love the effect, and will try this again!

My Grandson's, Gabe, birthday is coming up, so I created this card for him over the weekend.  I used My Favorite Things weekly sketch challenge to put it together.  This little guy has sparkles on his mane and tip of his tail, not too much girly bling!  I used paper from Basic Grey called "Origins".  (Can you tell I have a love of Basic Grey papers??)  Anyway, hope he likes it!

Viva la Verve Week 4

It is a gloomy Saturday, perfect for a little stamping!  I loved this weeks Viva la Verve sketch.  It was so much fun to use this layout from Shannon.  The hardest part was deciding which paper to use! These new prints from Lily Bee Designs were laying on my craft table, so that's where I started.  The cardstock is Perfect Plum and Ruby Red.  I used white craft ink to stamp the design on the back panel, and on the cuttlebug embossed bottom.  I also used one of the antique brads from Stampin Up, to hold the white silk ribbon.  There are rhinestones along the punched border (Martha Stewart) too.
Hope you have a blessed Easter tomorrow!

Swimsuit Stanley

Had a blast this afternoon making this card!  Isn't this stamp from Whippersnapper hilarous?  When I saw him, I knew I wanted to get it to make Birthday cards for my twin brother-in-laws.  I married into a family of competitive swimmers, including my husband.  I think their many years of wearing those goggles, will bring back a memory or two.  Stanley is colored with Copic markers, and the papers and buttons are from Basic Grey.  The wave border was cut with fancy edge scissors (remember those?) and then edged with a blue spica glitter pen.  I used the Viva la Verve week three sketch to put it all together!

Away I Go...!

Isn't this little guy the cutest?  He makes me think of my boys when they were little!  Now they have little boys of their own, and I'll probably use this for a birthday card for one of them.  He is colored with Copic markers, and the papers are from Basic Grey's Max and Whiskers collection.  They are super for male cards, love the brown, red, and gold tones.  A little Baker's Twine, swirl clip, and eyelets finish it off.  (Special note to Saree:  I'm uploading this just for you, enjoy your Copic markers!)  Hugs ~ Luanne

oh no!

I love this little bunny in the tub from Whippersnapper!  The sentiment says "oh no, another gray hare in the tub"!  Isn't that hilarous?  I will definately use this for my sweet sister for her birthday.  Ah, the fact is I'm finding those gray hairs too!!  I used this weeks Wednesday Sketch Challenge from My Favorite Things to put this together. The papers are from the Basic Grey Olivia collection.  The image is colored with copics with a touch of sparkle on the bubbles with a spica clear glitter pen.  Thanks for looking!

I have a good start on Easter cards this year, including this one I finished today.  The Bunny image is colored with Copics, with touches of Spica glitter pens on he eggs.  The papers are Mellow Moss from the prints pack, and Lemon Tart from PTI.  The Ribbon and buttons are from PTI as well.
This will be for Carlie and Jeremy!  They welcomed their third child this week, a little boy.  Carlie is my niece, and they live across the country, so I'll have to enjoy pictures on FB...  I made this card using the "To the Moon" set from Verve.  The papers are from Stampin Up's Summer Picnic Pack.  I colored the giraffe with Copic markers, and his little scarf is paper pieced.  I also used this week's Viva la Verve sketch, week #2.  TFL!
