New Goodies!!

Well, I came home from my trip to Indianapolis, and found the postman had left my order on Christmas Eve at 5:45 PM!  So it was like Christmas all over, with some fun new things from PTI.  I've started my thank you notes to send, and this one was based on Nicole's beautiful card using Flower Fusion #11 and the Fancy Filagree border.  After seeing her card, I knew both these items would be in my basket!
I think this is my favorite Flower Fusion!  I love tulips, and I liked how Nicole double stamped hers.  The new Hawaiin Shores ink is wonderful!  I've paired it with Spring Moss.  The gingham is my last piece of SU gingham ribbon :-(   I will need to find another source, cause I love gingham....

PTI December Blog Hop - Leftovers!

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas!  We were able to visit my children and grandchildren for a special time in Indianapolis.  We got home and I wanted to try to sneak in some stampy time before I have to go back to work in the morning.  I have some fun new PTI goodies too!  However, the challenge for the blog hop was to use some leftovers, so this card has a little of both...

The sweet little snowman was cut out of the wrapping paper I used for the grandkids presents.  I love snowmen, and I have a nice little collection of them...  The diecut doily was made with a scrap of white I found on my craft table - it just fit!  It's one of the new things from my children. :-)  I had a scrap of Autumn Rose ribbon, that I was able to turn into a bit of a bow, by just using some twine and a button.  The snowman was placed on some Spring Rain cardstock that was cut with a Mat Stack 1 die.  The Autumn Rose base was stamped with Polka Dot Basics in Fresh Snow ink.  Now that Christmas is over, the thank you notes begin.  I don't know about you, but I have more that gifts to be thankful for this year!  Blessings to you!

More MIM Tags!

I made some more tags last night, these will go on packages for my daughter and DIL's that contain a dozen all occasion cards!  I've been wanting to do that for the last three years, and finally made it happen.  I have one last card to complete the package tonight.  Good thing it will be a quick one, as we leave for our celebration with them tomorrow.  :-)

I've really enjoyed making tags this year, and Erin's tutorial was just the inspiration I needed!  These tags were made with Aqua Mist cardstock.   The die is from Verve, and the tiny pearls are leftover from my Christmas cards.  The red baker's twine adds just the right amount of color.  Thanks for stopping by, and may you all be blessed this Christmas season with the best gift of all.

Make it Monday Tags

This week, Erin showed us how to make tags, using dies.  I needed three tags for packages for my children, so it was a perfect opportunity to make some up.  I wanted to match the wrapping paper I had picked up from Michael's this week and Aqua Mist worked perfectly. I chose the Mat Stack 2 die ,because I think it looks a little bit like an ornament! (sorry the pictures are a little dark ~ just couldn't seem to get a good one with the shimmer!)

. I stamped the two different snowflakes onto the cardstock (the larger in versamark and the smaller in Aqua Mist ink) then used my die. The stamps are all from Tag It's #8.  The snowflake circle was stamped in versamark and embossed with silver.  The little flourish was stamped in Aqua Mist and the the sentiment in Pure Poppy. How fun and easy, for a put-together look! And here is what they look like on the packages...
Now I can't wait to give them to my kids!    *sigh*  I love Christmas!  Hope you have a blessed holiday season!

Wedding Wishes

I just love the new Quarterfoil die from Papertrey Ink.  It makes the simple card fabulous!  This one uses Very Vanilla cardstock, with a wonderful sentiment and die from Verve's Love Story set.  I've added little pearls and sheer ribbon from Michaels.  This is part of a set of cards that I'm making for my daughter and daughter in laws for Christmas.  Now they just have to make sure they don't all send them to the same bride and groom!  Thanks for stopping by....!

Make It Monday #45: Coloring Embossed Images with Copics

Hello everyone!  Can I just say how much I enjoyed this week's Make it Monday??  I've been trying to finish up a few last minute Christmas cards, so this morning, I took a break and decided to try my hand at this technique.  Well, I loved the results!  I was able to use some of my new Smokey Shadow cardstock and ribbon too.  The poppies almost took on a "painted" look, and you could really see the brush strokes, that look like petals! Looks even better IRL...:-) Oh, so fun!!

This might be one of my favorite cards I've ever made, and I can't wait to make another one!  Thanks so much Lisa, for showing us how to do this, and thank you for stopping by!

Make it Monday Ruffled Pleats

This is my second attemp at ruffled pleats...
I am using the Christmas Poinsettia for my Christmas cards this year.  Not too sure about this one, but I'm trying!  The printed paper is left over from Basic Grey's Jovial from last year.  Thanks for looking!

Make it Monday #43 - Ribbon Pleating

Well this is my first little attempt at Ribbon Pleating, using Dawn's fabulous directions!  I know I will try to do another one over the weekend, as it was so easy!  I chose to use New Leaf Satin ribbon, and it worked like a dream.  The poinsettia was stamped with Berry Sorbet, cause I've always loved those peachy pinky ones.
Well, I still need to make more cards, and I'm trying to get my tree up and decorated too.  Thanks for stopping by!
