MIM #63 Revisitied!

It was so fun to look over the list of Make it Mondays for 2012.  I have learned SO much!  One of the challenges from Heather used a sticker machine, and I just got one!  So I was eager to give MIM #63, Glittered Die Cuts, a try!

I used two of the Beautiful Butterflies Die Cuts.  The cardstock was pink, and my glitter was Dazzling Diamonds.  Love the look of the pink coming through.  The sentiment and tail are from Happy Trails.  Thank you one more time to all the PTI designers for all of their inspiration and instruction in 2012.

Happy Stamping!

Sweet Hello

Good Morning!  Just posting one of the cards I made for the gift set I made for my girls.  I drew my inspiration from Nicole's card during the release of this cute mini set, using the Soft Stone/black ink for the phones and Hawaiian Shores and Winter Wisteria colors with them.

Hope you have a fabulous day!

Embroided Blooms

As soon as I saw Embroidered Blooms, I knew it would be in my cart  I just love it already!!  This card was so fast and easy, yet the finished card turned out really nice.  The sentiments in this set are great too.  Best part of this card is that it's flat.  It just didn't need a button or bow.
I know I'll get lots of use from this amazing set! The colors are Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz, Golden Harvest, Simply Chartreuse and Ripe Avocado.  Thanks for stopping by....
 Have a great day!

Penguin Thanks for PTI Blog Hop!

I just had to make another card for this month's Blog Hop for Papertrey Ink. I wanted to work on more Christmas Thank You notes, and I pulled on the cute Winter Penguin set for something different.  Again, much trouble taking a picture, cause it's pretty fun IRL!

First I tore a sheet of Bitty Dot Soft Stone paper for my sky.  I added the snowflakes in Versamark, and heat embossed them with Stardust EP.  The penguins were cut and stamped with Soft Stone and the caps with Sweet Blush.  I used Betsy's technique for sentiments, by covering parts of two sentiments for creating my own.  The word "so" from a sentiment from Mat Stack #4, was changed into "snow" from the Winter Penguin set.  I added the little swirl on each side with more Stardust EP.
Thanks for taking a look!  Happy Hopping!

Papertrey Ink December Blog Hop!

Ugh...I had the worst time trying to take this picture!!  It was so fun to make for this month's PTI Papertrey Ink Blog Hop!  Our inspiration was to create a card of whites, with minimal color. I used my Rosie Posie set, with my new Embroidered Blooms to create this Wedding/Anniversary card  I used white embossing powder on the roses, and then used a some copics to give them a hint of color for contrast.  The leaves were stamped with Soft Stone first, and then I used Versamark and white embossing powder for the inside portion of them.  A little Soft Stone polka dots on the card base, as well as a piece of the larger polka dot soft stone paper.

Thank you for stopping by ~ enjoy the Hop!

MIM #97 a la carte!

Merry Christmas Everyone!  I hope you have had a blessed day, however you may have celebrated.  Ours was a quiet day, which was really nice.  My DH and I exchanged our gifts, had a nice breakfast, and then relaxed the rest of the day!  In between were lots of phone calls and face time with our families that are far away.  It was wonderful!  I also had time to play at my stamping table, and was excited to make a card chosen from last week's MIM #96!  Between surgery and hosting my kids for our celebration over the weekend, I just didn't get a card made.  I loved Melissa's tutorial, and was happy to try out the Patchwork Die-Cuts!
I've started putting some Christmas thank you notes together, and this was created from the bits of scraps left from my Christmas cards this year.  I love how it turned out, using the Framed Out #7 set, along with the Mat Stack #5 die.  I added a heart die cut across the top, and sprinkled the little star from Framed Out to create my background.  Thanks for stopping by today!

Christmas Presence

Good Morning!  I think this is my last Christmas card for this year.  You know how there is always that last one you need?  This was mine, and I think it could be one of my favorites!  It is going to my Dad and Step mom, and I think they'll like it too.  I love this saying from Verve, it is so about HIS presence.  He is not just the Reason for the Season.  He is the REASON for life!

I don't know if I will post again until after Christmas, as I'm having my second Cataract surgery this morning, and then my children will be here.  So, on that note, I wish all of you a very blessed Christmas, how ever you may celebrate.

Many hugs,

Fun with Circles

I've been making this card all week...!  It's been a busier one, trying to get ready for Christmas with my kids and grand kids on Saturday.  And, I have my second eye surgery on Tuesday, so other things besides card making have kept me away.  I got this circles die to help make young boy cards.  With two grandsons growing up, I know it will come in handy!

I used some colors from Stampin Up, Sage Shadow, Cherry Cobbler and Always Artichoke.  The sentiments are from 2012 Birthday Tags, and I added a stamped button.  They are layered on top of a Half & Half die.

Now I'm off to do a little holiday baking.  (very little, as I'm trying to keep it less stressful!)  Hope to post again tomorrow, if I can have time in the craft room too!  Thanks for stopping by....!

A Little Mojo...

I head back to work today, but this morning I had a little time to play this week's Mojo Monday sketch from Verve.  I thought I was done with my Christmas cards, but these fun scraps of paper from Lily Bee are still laying on my table and I can't resist...  They are just about gone, so hopefully I'll move on to something else!  lol

I've also loved this sentiment and these fun poinsettias from Verve!  I've added a close up, so you can see the texture from the clear embossing, it was a great way to make these pretty flowers.

You still may have to click on it to see...  I did flip the sketch sideways to accommodate the sentiment.  Have a happy stamping day!

Make It Monday #94: Detail Glitter Technique

Today I have a Christmas card to share, where I used Erin's Detail Glitter Technique!  It really was so easy, I may have to go back and add some more to my finished Christmas cards!  It just gives that little extra pop that makes a card special!

I've used it just on the word "Joy".  The pinecones have stickles on them.  This is the basic layout I used for most of my Christmas cards this year.  I love how I could nestle the pinecones on the Fabulous Frames diecut.  It looks a little like a windowsill!  Here is a close up to see that sparkle!

On a personal note, I'm just getting back to a little bit of stamping after undergoing cataract surgery.   All went well with the first eye, and the second eye will be done in two weeks.  Hopefully I can finish up my Christmas projects and cards before then!  Thanks for stopping by!

MIM Cut Ups!

Okay, so inspired by Ashley's video, I decided to go "outside of my comfort zone" last night, and create something totally different for me.  I also wanted to use Melissa's suggestion to use up some of my "pieces", or leftovers, as I like to call them! :-0    I had fun making these last night!

Using the inside cut from Fabulous Frames, leftover from my Christmas cards this year, I created the sentiment image (from Verve, called Borderlines), which is popped up with foam tape.  I've used two different diecuts for my accents, from Banner Builders!  And here is another version, I think it might by my favorite.

The card base is Ocean Tides, with some OT's gingham.  And I just got my Soft Stone papers!!  LOVE THEM!  (Thanks Susie!)

Off to work now....have a great day!

Knit Thanks

Today I'm sharing another one of the Thank You cards that will be part of my gift sets to my girls!  This one was inspired by one from Nicole (simple layout) and Dawn (awesome colors).  The little ball of yarn was punch out and popped up, and the rick-rack die was used for the green.  I tried to do something creative with that die for MIM, but....simple is better sometime!   May have to try something else!

Such fun sets ~ I'm eager to try some more!  Thanks for stopping by!

Bunny Bubbles!

I love this little bunny in the tub!  So when a friend asked me to make a card to give someone for a 50th birthday, I knew I could use this image.  The inside sentiment says "oh no...another gray hare in the tub!"  Don't you love it??

I was inspired by this weeks featured stamper on SCS, to use this color combination of Black, Green and Teal.  The image is colored with copics and spica glitter pens and the papers are from Kaisercraft.  Thanks for stopping by!

November PTI Blog Hop!

Today is the day to see every one's fabulous creations for the November "Book Cover" inspiration PTI Blog Hop.  What a fun idea!  I started going through my books, and just wasn't finding anything, so I decided to get on Amazon...!  Whoo hoo!  Bountiful ideas for more inspiration down the road, but this cover just grabbed my attention right away.

I immediately saw the woodgrain....Background Basics - Barnyard!
Then that fabulous flower...Friends to the End!
And I knew I could create the landscape, using Nicole's MIM technique of blending Copics!
Of course the sentiment would be embossed with white, and viola!  Here is my version!!

This was a fun one!  Now to go hopping!  Thanks for stopping by!

Two Challenges Today

Well, the turkey is in the oven, and I thought I'd take some time post a card I've made for two challenges, something I rarely have time to figure out!  But the colors in the CTD219 challenge screamed to play today!

I've also used the Make it Monday challenge from Melissa, to use vellum on our project.  Well, I purchased Lovely Layers after seeing Betsy's fabulous card here:  so I finally got to make one using her pretty vellum flower!  I added aqua glitter and mica flakes to my petals.  And I'm really happy with the results!

You can see the glitter a litter better in a close up...

The sentiment is an old favorite set from Stampin Up.  I've made multiples of this card, which will be included in a box of Thank You cards for my daughter and daughter in law's for Christmas.  They will all be cards that have been pinned into my Card Inspirations board on Pinterest, just my own version of them.

Thanks for looking!  Enjoy your day no matter how you celebrate!
Happy Thanksgiving!  Hope you are all enjoying a day of Thankfulness and maybe a little turkey!  It's just me and my DH today.  When you have to work the day before and after the holiday, it's just too far a drive to see the kiddos.  Hopefully we'll be together sometime during the Holiday season.  I'm hoping to do more stamping today, in between cooking details.

I love the little trees in this patterned paper.  And I've used the small pine cone spray from my Peaceful Pinecones set.  The ribbon is from Stampin Up, Cherry Cobbler, and it's gorgeous in real life!

Many Blessings to you today!

Another Christmas card today...yep, I worked on them all weekend, so you'll be seeing more!  lol
I made this one horizontal and I decided to add a bow in the corner.  I'm not sure you can tell from the photo, but there are stickles on the pinecones for a little sparkle.

Happy Stamping!

Tuesday, November 20, 2012

Good Morning!  I have another card to share today from my growing Christmas card pile.  This card has the wonderful sentiment about the Magic of Christmas, and HIS presence!  I've added some pretty pine cones from my Peaceful Pinecones set (Papertrey Ink).  A simple button was all I needed to finish the look.  The soft green is from Stampin Up, Mellow Moss.  I have a pretty big supply of this great color. :-)  Maybe it'll come back some day!  The sentiment and frame are from Verve.
Thanks for stopping by, have a great day!
