Natural Beauties & Signature Greetings II

I had some fun last night with the SAF Natural Beauties set.   This isn't a normal color combination I used (usually go for blues and greens) but I like it!  Hibiscus Burst, Raspberry Fizz and Spring Moss.  I chose the little spiky flowers to create my blooms, and the frame is from Fabulous Frames.  The little butterfly is a Creative Memories punch, a gift from my SIL.

The punch and border at the bottom are cut from Raspberry Fizz Bitty Dots paper pack, and it's all on a Hibiscus Burst card base.

Thanks for coming by....

Made this card using my new Fabulous Frames dies.  And they are. Fabulous.  So many different ways to put things together!  I've also used the Lovely Layers dies too.  Just a small "thanks" was the only stamping on this card.

The papers are older prints, and the ribbon some fall leftovers.  :)  Hope you have a relaxing Sunday afternoon.

oh, Baby!

I was challenged (by PJ) to make a card for this challenge, Runway Inspired, found here:

I chose the little girl photo for my card...

Isn't she a cutie pie??  I made a clean and simple baby card for my stash...

This was so much fun to make.  I used some older Stampin Up designer paper for my "grass" background.  Then I layered a doily, a PTI doily details die, and a SU scalloped punch.  Each layer is popped up a little.  The sentiment is from Signature Greetings II (PTI) and I finished it off with a couple of Kaisercraft green rhinestones.

Gonna play this again!

Looking for a new look.

So tonight I was playing around in Blog Land, looking for a new template for my design.  I found this one, and thought I'd try it out for a while.  How about you?  Where do you go for Blog Templates?  I'm not too computer savvy, so a one click download worked.

Thanks for taking a peek!

7-2012 Happy Birthday PJ!

I'm sure you have that special person in your stamping life, that you love to get together with and stamp, and ooo and ahh over cards, techniques and supplies....!  That person for me is my sweet friend P.J.  She celebrates her bithday iin July, and I wanted to do something with Copic markers for her. This is what I made:

I love this sweet little Stamping Bella by Mo Manning.  I added a little birdie from the Tag-it's series, stamped in chocolate right onto the patterned paper.  The background paper is Melon Berry.  Thank you PJ, for being one of my "best buds".

July PTI Blog Hop!

Yay! It's the 25th of the month and time for the PTI Blog Hop!  Have you all been stamping up a storm since Saturday?  I go to work, and can't wait to come home and stamp some more.  What a fabulous day it was for all!  Here is our inspiration photo for this month...

Yikes! Isn't is gorgeous?  I saw the bouquet and had to pull out the wonderful bouquet from Friendship Jar Spring Fillers.  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black, and then colored them with copics.  I used a piece of Berry Sorbet ribbon to tie them together, and added Tiny Tag with some cream button twine.

The image was cut out with a Spellbinder die, and I sponged the edges with some Antique Linen distress ink.  The background paper is from We R Memory, and it is all on a Lemon Tart card base.

July PTI Blog Hop Two

This card was made for an order of thank you cards, with out a lot of buttons and bows!  I chose my pattern paper using the inspiration photo colors.  I also used my new Fabulous Frames!  Eeekkk!   Love them!  :-)

I also pulled out Iconic Images.  It brought lots of memories from the 2011 Stamp-a-Faire.  The flowers were stamped first in Melon Berry, and stamped again in Berry Sorbet.  It looks really cool in real life.  I may have to make a label for that sentiment...it's an older one that isn't clear so I missed the mark!  Yikes!

Happy Hopping Y'all!

Stamp-a-Faire Knots!

I wanted to try out Dawn's wonderful instructions for tying a bow on a card.  Using another sheet of my tie dyed panels, I cut the Fillable Frames #10 in the upper third of my card base.  I backed it with a piece of the tie dye that I had stamped a sentiment in Smokey Shadow ink.  Then I used a scalloped border die to cut a second piece and added some ocean tides satin into my bow.  Wow, great tutorial Dawn!!

The card needed a little something, so I paper pierced around the diecut, and then I used Fabulous Flourishes with Versamark around the edges.

Stamp-a-Faire Tie Dye

After I got home last night, I was too whipped to finish a couple of cards!  So this afternoon after church, I got busy.  Thanks to Amanda, we had re-inkers available to make our tie dye cards. (Thanks Amanda!)  I loved the way all the stampers panels turned out!  I made two of them, and of course, they had Aqua Mist in them.  :-)

My card base is Winter Wisteria, stamped in white with Polka Dot backgrounds.  I cut my tie dyed panel with the Bigz Top Note die.  The sentiment panel is Fillable Frames #10, with a white Limitless Oval diecut.  I had a scrap of the Hawaiian Shores ribbon left, and added an Aqua Mist button with a little Bakers Twine.

Stamp-a-Faire Friendship Beads

We all had fun making our Friendship bracelets at SAF!  Saree and Bonnie brought their supplies of tools and beads, and they all turned out so fun!  I plan to make some for my granddaughters, I know they'll love them!

Aqua is my favorite color, so I chose to use these wonderful rock style beads that will go with lots of my clothing!

SAF 2012 Mini Book

This is the Mini Book I made at Stamp-a-Faire!  I used the Natural Beauties stamp set, and the Melon Berry papers and ribbon we received.  Each page is decorated a little, but I've left plenty of room for writing.  I plan to pass it along in my Sunday School class, to right notes of love and encourage a sweet couple that is going through a challenging time right now.

Can't wait to give it to them!

Another MIM Roll the Dice Card

I had to sneak in one more Make it Monday last night, before Stamp-A-Faire hits this weekend.  (we have 7 coming to our little affair!)  These were the items for my second roll of the dice:

1. Vertical
2. Sketch #3
3. Beautiful Butterflies
4. Healing Sentiments
5. Pure Poppy, Blueberry Sky, Enchanted Evening, White
6. Lace

I cut up a lace doily for my lace.  The smaller butterflies are from a Creative Memories punch my sister in law gave me.  The sentiment panel is from Fillable Frames 11, and it was stamped in Blueberry Sky and Enchanted Evening.

Thanks for looking!

MIM Roll the Dice!

Erin created a treasure of a challenge this week, and it was a blast!  We had a list of different elements that we filled in, and then rolled the dice for each item on our list to put together our cards.  As I was filling out my choices, I decided to go to my Pinterest color inspiration board to fill the spots.  This is the color combination that the dice chose for me...

Aren't they gorgeous?  I translated those colors to Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Always Artichoke, and a light gray, as I don't have any Soft Stone.  Here is the list of items the dice picked for me:

1. Vertical
2. Sketch #5
3. Lovely Layers
4. Beautiful Butterflies Sentiments
5. Ocean Tides, Aqua Mist, Always Artichoke, Light Gray/Sand
6 Buttons

And here is my finished card...

After a little tweaking, I'm happy with the final look.  Thank you Erin, for such a fun challenge!  I'm hoping to play again before Stamp-a-Faire time....!

Happy Stamping All,

Feeling Fishy?

Today I played a challenge on SCS, something I used to do all the time, but haven't for a while!  It was for their Featured Stamped today, and I really liked this card to CASE: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/photo/1430180?&cat=500&ppuser=82983

I used my favorite "fish" stamp from MFT.  I paper pieced the fish and her clothing, and used Copics for the rest.  The paper is older from Basic Grey's Archaic Line.

It was fun to do something different!  Thanks for looking, hope you have a great week!

Making me Happy...

This was made using the new Background basics - Rainbow stamps, and We Go Together.  The colors are Pure Poppy, Summer Sunrise, Harvest Gold and Lemon Tart.  The bitty dot ribbon is Harvest Gold with a Pure Poppy button.

Just a fun little card to make!

I love this new sentiment from the Papertrey Ink "We Go Together" set!  I often find myself thinking of friends and smiling!  This is for my dear friend Marjorie, going through cancer treatment.  I'm not able to visit her right now, (they're keeping the germs away) but all reports have been positive and encouraging.  I used the July SFYTT, and some new Kaisercraft papers.

The leaves are from Harvest Berries, and I lined the envelope with some of the purple print papers.  Hope she likes it!

MIM in Autumn Rose

This week, Heather showed us a fun way to make an easy background, using impression plates and background stamps.  I used some Autumn Rose cardstock, with a polka dot embossing folder.  Then I stamped Background Basics Postmarks on the "debossed" side.  The sentiment was punched out and placed on a pattern paper die cut with one of the frames from Pretty Peonies.  My bow was made with the bow-easy.

Inks used were Autumn Rose, Aqua Mist, and Fresh Snow.  The papers are from Kaisercraft, and I added an Aqua Mist button.

Thanks for stopping by!

Celerbrate with Happy Trails

I made this card with some scraps laying on my craft table... I love when it all kind of comes together!

The card base is Aqua Mist.  The Lovely Layers flower and the butterfly were both stamped on cream cardstock for a softer look.  The sentiment is on a piece of Lemon Tart Bitty Dot paper.

Thanks for looking!

Lots of Birthdays!

Keeping on my birthday card schedule, here are two more I made today!

This first one is for my sister, who is having one of those "special" milestones this year...

I think she'll love it!  Next up is one for my sister-in-law.  Hers is a week later...

I really had fun using the Mover's & Shaker's stamps!!  Thanks for stopping by...!

Mojo Monday Sketch

I had an opportunity to stamp a little tonight, as my husband is off golfing... :-)  I haven't participated in a Mojo challenge for a while, and wanted to use it for a birthday card I need to send out.

I started with this copic colored image from Stamping Bella.  I also used some brand new papers from Lily Bee that arrived in the mail today!! :-)  The flowers are from Making a Statement from Verve, with Kaisercraft pearls for the centers.   A little tumbled glass distress ink around the image and card base finished it off.

Have a great day and thanks for taking a peek!

Make it Monday Fun!

I've been stamping my little fingers away today, enjoying the holiday off work!  This Saturday, we're heading south to my DH's Family Reunion in sunny Siesta Key, FL.  We are so happy, as both his daughters will be coming (one from LA and one from Chicago!).  We haven't been together at the same time for many years, so we're extra excited!  I think they'll be 30 of us there.  My MIL, is just giddy ~ me too!  So I made this set of cards to take to her as a Thank You for having us.  She is so generous and kind, and I love to send her cards.  This time I get to deliver them in person.  I'm going to highlight three of them, as I used Ashley's Make it Monday tutorial for them.

They are all Birthday cards, because that is what she uses the most.  Here is the whole set, using Aqua Mist, Hawaiian Shores, and Simply Chartreuse for my color scheme.  The patterned paper is from Bitty Dots.
