MIM Cut Ups!

Okay, so inspired by Ashley's video, I decided to go "outside of my comfort zone" last night, and create something totally different for me.  I also wanted to use Melissa's suggestion to use up some of my "pieces", or leftovers, as I like to call them! :-0    I had fun making these last night!

Using the inside cut from Fabulous Frames, leftover from my Christmas cards this year, I created the sentiment image (from Verve, called Borderlines), which is popped up with foam tape.  I've used two different diecuts for my accents, from Banner Builders!  And here is another version, I think it might by my favorite.

The card base is Ocean Tides, with some OT's gingham.  And I just got my Soft Stone papers!!  LOVE THEM!  (Thanks Susie!)

Off to work now....have a great day!

Knit Thanks

Today I'm sharing another one of the Thank You cards that will be part of my gift sets to my girls!  This one was inspired by one from Nicole (simple layout) and Dawn (awesome colors).  The little ball of yarn was punch out and popped up, and the rick-rack die was used for the green.  I tried to do something creative with that die for MIM, but....simple is better sometime!   May have to try something else!

Such fun sets ~ I'm eager to try some more!  Thanks for stopping by!

Bunny Bubbles!

I love this little bunny in the tub!  So when a friend asked me to make a card to give someone for a 50th birthday, I knew I could use this image.  The inside sentiment says "oh no...another gray hare in the tub!"  Don't you love it??

I was inspired by this weeks featured stamper on SCS, to use this color combination of Black, Green and Teal.  The image is colored with copics and spica glitter pens and the papers are from Kaisercraft.  Thanks for stopping by!

November PTI Blog Hop!

Blog-hop-logo

Today is the day to see every one's fabulous creations for the November "Book Cover" inspiration PTI Blog Hop.  What a fun idea!  I started going through my books, and just wasn't finding anything, so I decided to get on Amazon...!  Whoo hoo!  Bountiful ideas for more inspiration down the road, but this cover just grabbed my attention right away.

I immediately saw the woodgrain....Background Basics - Barnyard!
Then that fabulous flower...Friends to the End!
And I knew I could create the landscape, using Nicole's MIM technique of blending Copics!
Of course the sentiment would be embossed with white, and viola!  Here is my version!!

This was a fun one!  Now to go hopping!  Thanks for stopping by!

Two Challenges Today

Well, the turkey is in the oven, and I thought I'd take some time post a card I've made for two challenges, something I rarely have time to figure out!  But the colors in the CTD219 challenge screamed to play today!

I've also used the Make it Monday challenge from Melissa, to use vellum on our project.  Well, I purchased Lovely Layers after seeing Betsy's fabulous card here: http://scrapbookgirl.typepad.com/paper_scissors_and_superh/2012/06/june-2012-papertrey-ink-release.html  so I finally got to make one using her pretty vellum flower!  I added aqua glitter and mica flakes to my petals.  And I'm really happy with the results!

You can see the glitter a litter better in a close up...

The sentiment is an old favorite set from Stampin Up.  I've made multiples of this card, which will be included in a box of Thank You cards for my daughter and daughter in law's for Christmas.  They will all be cards that have been pinned into my Card Inspirations board on Pinterest, just my own version of them.

Thanks for looking!  Enjoy your day no matter how you celebrate!

Happy Thanksgiving!  Hope you are all enjoying a day of Thankfulness and maybe a little turkey!  It's just me and my DH today.  When you have to work the day before and after the holiday, it's just too far a drive to see the kiddos.  Hopefully we'll be together sometime during the Holiday season.  I'm hoping to do more stamping today, in between cooking details.

I love the little trees in this patterned paper.  And I've used the small pine cone spray from my Peaceful Pinecones set.  The ribbon is from Stampin Up, Cherry Cobbler, and it's gorgeous in real life!

Many Blessings to you today!

Another Christmas card today...yep, I worked on them all weekend, so you'll be seeing more!  lol
I made this one horizontal and I decided to add a bow in the corner.  I'm not sure you can tell from the photo, but there are stickles on the pinecones for a little sparkle.

Happy Stamping!

Good Morning!  I have another card to share today from my growing Christmas card pile.  This card has the wonderful sentiment about the Magic of Christmas, and HIS presence!  I've added some pretty pine cones from my Peaceful Pinecones set (Papertrey Ink).  A simple button was all I needed to finish the look.  The soft green is from Stampin Up, Mellow Moss.  I have a pretty big supply of this great color. :-)  Maybe it'll come back some day!  The sentiment and frame are from Verve.

JOY

I've had more fun with these Lily Bee papers this year.  This card has the fabulous Plain Jane Stamp from Verve, Joy to the World"  I love the simplicity of that Joy!!  I've also used the scalloped framed from Verve. and the pretty poinsettias from Joyous Noel.  The center of the flowers are drops from a Viva Pearl pen in Ivory.

Have a great day!

Featured Stamper Day

Happy Sunday!  I hope your day has been as wonderful as mine has been.  I love to play SCS's featured stamper day.  It gets me looking at all the fabulous stampers out there!  Today's gal is no exception, LeeAnne.  I've been making Christmas cards all week, and so this was a great sketch (I think it was a Viva la Verve sketch) to use up my scraps!

I love how this sentiment fits so nicely in the Verve Banner die (thanks Moe!)  And a mixed up a Martha Stewart snowflake punch, with a PTI Button die, and buttons glittered up with a little Picket Fence Stickles.  Lots of fun!

Have a great week!

Another Window Card

I really enjoyed making the Window cards a few weeks ago for Make it Monday, and decided to try another one.  This one is for Christmas.

I used my Peaceful Pinecones set, and just used the smaller cut and stamped image for the window.  I used a double ended banner die for the sentiment, and added some sparkly bling to the ends.  Too bad they look black, they are the soft ocean tides green color!  I was able to create a sentiment on the inside, using the same set.  It was fun to do this again! :)

November SFYTT

I love this month's SFYTT on Jen's Blog.  This card came together so quickly, I think I'll make some more!  I'm working on my Christmas cards now, and although some will be mass produced, it's fun to make a few in a different way.

I used my new Verve stamps to make this.  The poinsettia was made by stamping in Versamark, and clear embossing.  Then I hand cut it out.  It looks really neat in real life.  Thanks for taking a peek!

MOJO Monday with new goodies!

I was delighted to find my new Verve order in the mailbox today.  I forgot to get it yesterday, and stopped on my way home from church to pick it up!  Whoo Hoo!  Love these new stamps!  I tried different ways to make the poinsettia, and love the finished product!  I used pieces of Lily Bee papers that I purchased at the end of last year.  I love the smaller prints, and fun colors.  They go perfectly with some Cherry Cobbler ribbon I got last year and forgot all about!  SO my supplies were set for this years cards....lol.

I turned the sketch sideways, so I could use the pretty font sentiment.  Yep! It works!  Thanks for looking! :)

Make it Monday

Had a little fun this afternoon, stamping away for 4 hours!  I had time to catch up on a few challenges, and work on my Christmas cards too.  I made this one for this week's MIM.  I knew I wanted to use my "happy" diecut for this, and an older SU sentiment.  Let me tell you, I love clear stamps SO much More!!!  It was so tricky to do, that I finally used the tape to do the major part of the sentiment, and then stamped the little words onto white and cut mini tags.  LOL, go with what works for you! :)

Not one of my best projects, but I gave it a go.  I do like the Hawaiian Shores with the Winter Wisteria.  It made me a little happier.  Thanks for taking a look!

grateful

Just a quick card to share with you today.  I'm sending this to my precious Mother in Law this week.  She is one of the most giving people I know, and has made me feel like a loved daughter in law.  Just had to let her know!

I used my Lovely Layers dies to make my bloom from felt and cardtock.  I used an edger die to make the layered edge and all has been put into a Rustic White card base.  The layout was inspired by one from Charmwarm on SCS.

For Dad

My Dad's birthday is coming up, and so I made this card to send to him.  He's been a golfer for many years, and so this older stamp set was fun to pull and and use on his card.  I cased a card on Splitcoaststamper, from this week's Featured Stamper, Janine.

The papers are from a Basic Grey 6 X 6 pack, and the card base is Smokey Shadow.  I added two Smokey Shadow buttons to finish it off.  I think he'll like it!

Make it Monday Window card!

Had fun playing at my stamp table this morning, as I went into work later today.  I'd had this card floating around in my head since I watched Nicole's fabulous video on how to make a window with a floating images.....

I knew I wanted to use Happy Trails, and after starting it, I decided to use some Zva Creative bling, instead of the stamp of the dragonfly's flight.  I also tried out my new Limeaide Ice paper pack, love it with Aqua Mist!  I used an older Nestabilities set to create my window.  Here's a side view...

The bling is a soft green, not black, but you know how cameras go....

Thanks for looking!
