Aidan's 2013 Valentine

My last Valentine for the grandchildren is for Aidan, the one with the tender heart!  He just loves everyone and you can see already that he will have the soft gentle spirit of his dad (my son!).  I chose the little puppy for him, cause I know he's going to be loyal and kind hearted!

"i dig you"...isn't that perfect!  Love the sentiment.  Oh, and the big button?  It's hiding a big smudge from my Smokey Shadow ink pad.  lol, yeah, I know you never do that kind of thing, right??  :-)  Gotta love a good embellishment!

Brooklyn's 2013 Valentine

Ever make a non-traditional colored Valentine??  Well this one is.... :)  My adventurous granddaughter, Brooklyn will receive this one.  I wanted the little fishies to be on aqua cardstock for water, and they had to be goldfish, don't you know??  :-)

Even though it doesn't look like a Valentine, I think this mischievous three year old will love it.  The little heart bubbles and sentiment are from the $5 whale set, and the fish are mounted with foam tape.  The frame was Nicole's color scheme from a recent post.  Don't know why, but this card makes me smile.!

Hope you have a smile today!

Addison's Valentine

This Valentine is for my precious granddaughter, Addison.  She reminds me of warm fuzzy sweetness, so the little kitty was chosen for her!  The frame was cut from double sided paper, and the heart is the reverse print.  The kitty was colored with copics.  The sentiment from TT Valentines just fit into the inside of the heart. :-)

Enjoy your day!

Gabe's 2013 Valentine

This Valentine is for my brilliant grandson, Gabe.  I'm using the cute airplane from TT Valentines, as he has always loved anything with an engine. When he was really little, he'd run to the window whenever he heard a lawnmower or airplane....! So perfect for a little guy!

The silver background paper was layered on Pure Poppy card stock.  I've used my Fabulous Frames die on all of my valentines, this is such a versatile die ~ love it!  The sentiment is from Up, Up and Away.

Have a great day!

Birthday Tag

I have another quick post today, this is a picture I took, of my daughter's birthday present tag.  Isn't that paper gorgeous??  I've had it a while, and as I was wrapping her gift I though ~ this needs a tag!  So I pulled out my 2012 Birthday set and made a quick one.

New Leaf, Summer Sunrise and Hibiscus Burst to the rescue!  Love these colors (thinking this might be something Dawn would use...?) :-)

Have a great week!

Flyiing with MIM 101

I've got another Make it Monday to share today.  This is for the pack of Valentine's I made for the Charity Auction.  I'm so glad I got the Tremendous Treats Valentines set, I've had a ton of fun with it.  I'll be sharing my grandchildren's valentines over the next couple of days.  I used the little airplane for this one.

I first embossed the heart with Stardust EP.  I love the sparkle!  Then I carefully stamped the sentiment from Framed Out #12 right I top of it.  I was a little worried, as it's so small, but it worked perfectly!  Then I stamped the little hearts like a trail from the airplane.  The sentiment is from an old SU set that I inherited, I thought it was the perfect fit!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Make it Monday #101

I had a chance to make a Make it Monday card last night.  I love my new Tremendous Treats Valentine set. Isn't this little guy "din-o-mite"??  I used Stardust EP and Melon Mambo EP.

The dinosaur is colored with copics, and then I used a colorless blender copic to make his spots.  I think he would be cute on a kids birthday card too.  Thanks for looking!

PTI January Blog Hop!

Hi all!  This month, Nicole challenged us to make cards using Black Backgrounds.  I decided to make a Valentine for my hubby, keeping it more masculine.

I did add a little frill with the doily in the back, but I love how it punched up the sentiment panel.  It is Fillable Frames 10, stamped on soft stone.  I used tape to stamp just half of the sentiment.  The inside ~ "always & forever"!

Happy Hopping!

Green with a button and twine

 Pink with Copic markers

 Silver with some rhinestones

All the cards were made using embossing powder and versamark ink.  Thanks for looking!

Set of Embroidered Blooms

Good Morning!  I have been stamping away to help a friend with some note card sets, for an auction that supports the Make a Wish foundation.  She is part of a Sorority that does this once a year, and I was happy to contribute!  The set I'm sharing today, all uses Embroidered Blooms from PTI.  I had so much fun creating them, mixing and matching colors with all the different images.  What a fun set!

Thanks for taking a look!  I'm off to visit my kids and grand kids this weekend. And....going to see a Broadway show in Indianapolis!  And....celebrating with my newly engaged daughter!  Should be a fun one! Hope yours is too!

FS Sympathy Card

I have a card today for a friend of ours that lost her father this week.  I used a card from this week's Featured Stamper on SCS.  You can find her card here.  For my card, I chose Pretty Peonies stamped in Sweet Blush.  The Sweet Blush card base was embossed with the Canvas Impression plate for a soft texture.

Thanks for stopping by!

Babies, Babies, Babies!

Today I have two boy baby cards to share.  Don't think it's the water, but FOUR of our bank tellers are and have had BOY babies since August...  Two of those precious bundles are here already, and two more will be arriving on or around Valentines Day. (Yes~they were both given that due date!) A fifth baby boy came in November, to a former teller.  (ha - she must have drank the water before she left!!)  :-)  Anyway, I have two cards for the ones expecting in February, for their showers.  Both were inspired by designers, this first one by Moe Plut.  You can find her beautiful card here.

My next card was inspired by Nicole Heady's fabulous background using Background Basics - Rainbows.  I just loved the Spring Rain and New Leaf colors, and wanted to use them too!  Here is her awesome card... This is mine...

Both cards used Papertrey Ink and Verve items.  Hope the Mothers to Be like them!

Happy Stamping!

Washi Case

I had pinned this fabulous card on Pinterest, and wanted to case it forever!

Isn't it just SO cute!  Well I had the exact tapes purchased from Target, so I made one of my own, changing it up a little...

I added some SU ribbon, as well as a die cut from Hello, Friend.  I left off the Green tape, going for a more monochromatic look.  The card base is and ink is Hawaiian Shores.

MIM Rainbow Rainbows!

Oh, I had so much fun with this fast and easy card!  Nicole challenged us this week to make a simple white card, using one of her rainbow color schemes!  I chose this one....

I loved the softer colors.  I'll be glad when the new ink formula is ready, as my little tester cubes are getting low.  But I still loved how this turned out, even if it is a little splotchy!

Since this is a full background card, I'm entering it in the Moxie Fab World Challenge to create your own background. You can find it here...:-) Can't wait to try out another "rainbow"!

Wishing you some rainbows....Luanne

FS Janelle

I made this card over the weekend, to honor Janelle Stolfus, who was the Featured Stamper on Sunday at Splitcoast Stampers.   You can find her beautiful card here... Musical CD Cover

The stamp was from Cornish Heritage Farms.  It reminds me of my daughter, practicing on my Mom's grand piano! (she was her teacher)  The cardstock and ribbon is Melon Berry and it was stamped with Versafine Black.  Thanks for coming by!~  Luanne

Happy Birthday Jennifer!

January brings two quick birthdays in our home, my daughter and my daughter in law!  This card will go to Jennifer, my sweet daughter in law.

I used some new Navy card stock and buttons from My Favorite Things.  Love!!!  The papers are some from Michael's that I just fell in love with and they snuck their way into my cart... :)  I used my new Mat Stack 6 dies with the Limitless oval die and the 2012 Birthday Tags set for my sentiment.

I used some of my Christmas money to purchase this die to use on the front or inside of the card, to tuck in a gift card or cash.  The paper is double sided, so it added a little pizazz to the pocket.

Hope you have a great an awesome day!

Never Be Afraid

When I saw this wonderful sentiment from Corrie ten Boom, I knew it would be perfect to send to people for encouragement!  What a wonderful, amazing woman of God!  And how true is this statement.  Over the holidays, Our Daily Bread Designs had a free shipping offer, so I was delighted to add it to my cart.  I pulled out some older papers, and voila...!

I used Spellbinder rectangles and PTI dies, with a Martha Stewart punch at the bottom.  Thanks for stopping by today!

MIM Chalkboard Card

Happy Saturday!  Today I have my Make it Monday to share with you.  I've wanted to try out Betsy's chalkboard technique, so it was really helpful to view her video, which you can find here: Make it Monday #98

I chose Enchanted Evening to try it out.  I wanted to use some blue tones on a card, being a little tired of Red and Green...haha!  I also wanted to use my new notched flower dies with the Funky Florals set.  I added some leaves from Turning a New Leaf, using only the pigment white ink.  The sentiment was embossed with white.  I drew the outline with a Prismacolor white pencil.  It was a fun card to make!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Thank you notes

Well thanks to some sweet gals on the Papertrey Ink Forum!  I've had trouble adding anything to my blog since the first of the year, and they suggested I use Google Chrome.  Ahhhh!!  I love how fast it is, and everything seems to be working!  Hooray!  I'm sharing a couple of fast Christmas thank you notes that I sent to my stepdaughters.  Quilled Elegance is fantastic to personalize a quick note.  Heather lives by the ocean, so I chose some soft aqua colors for her card...

And Hilary loves purple!  Winter Wisteria fit the bill perfectly!

Hopefully I'll be able to share some more now.  Thanks again PTI girls, you know who you are!  :-)
