Birds & Blooms Hello

Happy Easter everyone!  I hope your day is totally blessed and full of celebration!

I played with Birds and Blooms on Saturday, and can I just say, what a fun set?  Especially when I used this week's Make it Monday technique.  As you may know, I've only got green, it was a perfect choice to make this pretty wreath!

After stamping the watercolored wreath, I stamped again with Versamark. The flowers are stamped with Hibiscus Burst, Autumn Rose, Royal Velvet and Lemon Tart.  The birdie and button are Lemon Tart.  This is part of an order I'm working on, hope she likes it!

Make it Monday Two..

This afternoon I made another card with reinkers for Make it Monday.  This card uses an ink called "Soft Shadow", which is very close to Ocean Tides.  As I said earlier, I only own two of them!  :-)

The Ikat pattern was stamped in the green.  After it was dry, I stamped with versamark and white EP.  I used the small dot pattern to fill in some areas. Then I cut the frame in blueberry sky and stamped it with Polka Dot Basics.  The sentiment was stamped on white with Sage Shadow ink.  It was topped off with an Aqua Mist button and some blue bakers twine.

Thanks for looking!

Make it Monday Watercolor and Embossing

After several attempts, I was finally able to do a Make it Monday.  I only own 2 reinkers, and they are both shades of green, so I was a little limited! (Hmm, guess I need some reinkers!)  For this first card, I used an older color ink from Stampin Up, called Soft Sky.

After I stamped the large watercolored pattern, I stamped the green part and the little diamonds.  Then when it was dry, I added the larger stamp image again with Versamark, and embossed with some Stardust EP.  It has super pretty look to it in real life!  The leaves were cut from Sending You dies, and the flower is Beautiful Blooms 1.  The sentiment is from Trendy Trees.

I'll be back with another one later!

More Stitched Sentiments.

I've got two more cards today, using the wonderful Stitched Sentiments set.  I love putting the circle sentiment through the Aida impression plate ~ it makes it look so realistic!

This first card uses paper from SU called River Rock, and Pure Poppy.  The banner border is from Verve.  I loved these two colors paired up!  River Rock is very close to Fine Linen from PTI.

For this card, I used some papers from Lily Bee called Hop Scotch.  It has a real homespun feel.  I used just a drop of MS craft glue in a few spots to hole the Bakers Twine in place.

Have a Super Saturday!

Channeling Melissa Phillips...!

Hi! Long time no see...  I was on a short vacation with my DH last weekend, and work has been busy with training, so I haven't had much stampy time!  But Wednesday night I wasn't too tired to get to my stamp table and use the Stitched Sentiments set for a few cards.  For this first card, I thought of Melissa Phillips when I was finished!  I don't usually use a ton of layers, lace, ribbon and bows together, but I loved how this turned out.

The paper is from Lily Bee and the fabulous seam binding is from Verve (yes, they carry awesome color collections of seam binding now!) The lace is a scrap I had on hand.  I ran the sentiment circle through the Aida impression plate.

I'll have some more tomorrow, so stop by then!

Daydreamer X 3

So yesterday, I played with the Daydreamer set I have on loan right now...!  I loved it paired up with the Gracious Vases dies, so I sat down and put three cards together with it...

I had so much fun finding different ways to cut those vases and arrange the blooms!  I don't have a favorite, do you??

Thanks for taking a peek!  Have a great week...

Clearly Butterfly

I've made another card for this week's Make it Monday.  I really wanted to use Beautiful Butterflies, but as you know, there isn't an outline for copic coloring.  So, I decided to *wing* it, with my markers.   Here are the copics I used:

I started by coloring all over the butterfly with the lightest, and then used the next two for my shading, working from the inside out.  Then I used the BG78 for my spots.  I had a little inspiration from this photo, from Tuesday Trigger at Moxie Fab World.

I was inspired by that awesome butterfly on her veil, and the gorgeous colors!  I love anything aqua or green, just ask my hubby!!

I used some black Zva bling for it's trail, and a silver gel pen to make a little border to ground the panel.  That panel was backed with Aqua Mist card stock.  The inside panel was backed in Smokey Shadow, so when the card is closed, you get another edge showing. You can see it a little better here...

Last, I added a Little Label, cut with Aqua Mist, and stamped with Ocean Tides and Smokey Shadow.  The center and antennas are of 1/8 black satin ribbon.   Thanks for looking, I'm eager to do some more stamping this afternoon!

MIM #107 Clear Card & Copic Coloring Basics

Today I've got my first attempt at using Clear Card Stock.  Yikes!  I had a little trouble lining them up, AND, my image was a little larger than I thought, and almost covered the whole card base...!  But, I'm glad I tried it out, and hope to try again with a smaller image.  I totally love coloring with copics, and it was fun to look at the trios in the PTI store, to see if I was using the right colors to match their card stock.  I have discovered I have a few, but may need to add a few more! :-)

I love to color these sunflowers in the pitcher.  I think it's a great image for any occasion.  The card base is Harvest Gold, the the Bitty Dot paper is Ripe Avocado.  Thanks for stopping by!

Loving Chocolate Bunnies!

I knew as soon as I saw Betsy Veldman's sweet bunny card found on this post, that I would have to steal  borrow her creative idea for the chocolate bunnies!  How cute it is?????  Well I used a cute bunny stamp from Verve to recreate my own version:

I stamped the image onto some brown polka dot paper, fussy cut them out, and used a SU scalloped oval punch for the bite marks.  The bottom is the grass from Daydreamer.  The sentiments are from an older Verve Easter set.  The finishing touch for me?  Check out the inside sentiment:

Love it!  I think my grandson will too...
Have an awesome day ~ Luanne

I played today's Featured Stamper challenge on Splitcoast Stampers.  Connie had a gallery full of fun cards to choose from.  I finally picked this one, so that I could play with my new "hello" die.  The finished product is a little different, as I couldn't get all my flowers on the card base.  So....I just layered them up!

I loved these blue and white papers from my stash!  Aren't the little dragonflies sweet?  Well, that's it for today!  Hope you have a great week....!

A Little Mojo

Today I needed to get going on my Easter cards for the grandchildren.  I got a little jump start from this week's Mojo Monday sketch.  Once I picked out some papers (from a Martha Stewart baby collection...) It really came together.   Here is the sketch for this week.

I used the darling duck images from Just Ducky.  They were stamped on Lemon Tart cardstock, highlighted with some copic markers.  Then I fussy cut them out.  I realized as I was cutting them, that I'd had a little too much caffeine this morning.  Haha, that ever happen to you????

The sketch was turned horizontal so I could have the smaller duck peeking over the circle.  Then I was able to add some of my new seam binding I ordered in the last Verve release (totally LOVE it!!)

Well, that's it for now.  I'm working at church this weekend and it rehearsal starts this afternoon.  I hope I can get another card done tomorrow afternoon.  Hope you have a blessed day!

One more...

Can you tell how much I've loved this Make it Monday?  Every day has been a Monday for me this week, especially with the Daydreamer flowers I made.  :)  I have loved this challenge, and I know I will use it all the time now!  I'm eager to try it out on some other flower stamp set I have.....

After I had these flowers made, (using Pure Poppy and Summer Sunrise) I looked at them and knew right away I wanted to use Hawaiian Shores to compliment them.  A little tropical feel, and it's making me excited about our long weekend getaway to Florida.  This last little snowfall has made me really eager for warm sunshine.

That's all for today!  I may need to make one more of these over the weekend!  Have you tried it out??  You can find the challenge here!

Enjoy your weekend!

Poppin Pinks!

Well this is a little brighter card than I normally make, but I just started playing around with colors I could blend for Make it Monday, and there you go... One of the blooms is Hibiscus Burst and Raspberry Fizz, the other is Harvest Gold and Summer Sunrise.  So I pulled some of those colors out for my card base and frame.  The white layer is is piece of textured card stock, and the Half and Half diecut is from Sweet Blush.

I'm planning to give this to a sweet friend for her birthday, she is a marvelous gardener.  I, on the other hand, can kill any green thing that comes my way!  I guess we're all good at something!  :-)

Have a marvelous day!

Daydreamer Love

I was so excited to play with the Daydreamer dies and stamps last night!  My best stamping buddy, P.J., loaned them to me, and let me tell you, they are perfect for this weeks Make it Monday!  I happily cut and stamped them all, so I'll have a few more cards to share as I put them together.  This first one uses a combination of Winter Wisteria and Spring Rain.

I used my big Gracious Vases dies to cut and then added texture with the canvas impression plate.  I've got to say, up close, it looks just like pottery!  I can hardly wait to try it out with some Canyon Clay card stock!
Here's I close up, you may need to click on the photo to see it...

Maybe somebody has already done this, but I thought it looked pretty cool... :-)

Have a great day!

MIM Peonies

I've had time to stamp tonight, and wanted to try my hand at this week's Make it Monday #106, two toned stamped flowers.  This card rolled around in my head all day, so it was fun to put it together.

The peonies were stamped with Autumn Rose and Scarlet Jewell.  The leaves were stamped with Ocean Tides and New Leaf.  I love the look these colors created!  I used Aqua Mist for the frame, and the background paper is from the paper collection for bead making.  I popped the middle flower up a little higher with some foam tape.  Thanks for looking!

Watercolor Rainbow

Hi there!  Just a quick card to share today.  I inked up my new Watercolor Wonder set today, to create this super fast and easy card...

I loved when Heather used this sentiment during our sneak peaks of this set.  I just used the curved stamp and some brighter colors.  I like to send cards of encouragement, and this will be a good one to have on hand!

Have a blessed day!

Sympathy Blooms

I find I sell a lot of Sympathy cards and they're hard to keep in my stash.  When I saw this years Anniversary set, I thought it would make a nice sympathy card.  I just played around a bit, and I think it worked out well.

The main image is a nice size, a little bigger than A Wreath for All Seasons.  I used the music background stamped in Versamark on the Spring Moss base.  The image was stamped on Rustic Cream, and put on a piece of Simply Chartreuse card stock.

Thanks for stopping by!

MIM Fabulous!

Good Morning!  Hooray, it's Friday!  I'm really looking forward to this weekend, as we had company last weekend and my stamping time was very limited!  But yesterday afternoon I was off work, and while I was having our carpets cleaned, I was able to have some play time. :)

I pulled out my new Frilly Flowers.  I had waited a whole year before I purchased this set, but every time I saw a card using it, it went back on my wish list.  So during the Anniversary sale, it went into the cart and stayed there...!   I think we might see something fun along the road to go with the dies too, based on the free image from Tiffany....??

I used some of my favorite colors, Ocean Tides, Spring Rain, and Royal Velvet.  I debated whether to use all the layers, but on this first one, had to have them all.  I had a die cut rick rack border with aqua glitter, that I tucked under the strip of gingham paper.  It just added the perfect sparkle.  The sentiment was stamped and embossed with white EP.  Might need to play with this again soon...!

Hope you have a Fabulous day!
