Another GOLDEN card.

I have one more card to share for today's PTI Blog Hop.  For this one, I used Maile's new set.  I made a background with the chevron stamp using Fine Linen, Spring Moss and Kraft.  Then I stamped the "U" and gold embossed the little love circle.  I backed it with some shiny gold paper.  The arrows were stamped in Ripe Avocado to match the card base.

Papertrey Ink June Blog Hop

Today is PTI's June Blog Hop, and we were challenged to use GOLD in our projects.  I chose to make an Anniversary card for my husband.  It is tomorrow, and we will be celebrating 14 years. I'm so thankful for him, and I'm eager to give him this.  I knew Dawn's sentiment from "We Go Together" would be perfect, as I'm never without my I-Pad and a cup of Joe!  It is embossed with Gold, and I stamped the coffee portion in black and cut and pasted it on.  The tie is a piece of shiny gold cording and I added a Smokey Shadow button.  I wish the gold showed up better in the picture!  So happy with the results!

Have fun hopping everyone ~ can't wait to see your projects.

Trying my hand at another Make it Monday technique for a sympathy card.  The leaves were cut with TANL dies, then stamped with just the inside portion of the Embroidered Blooms stamp. Then I used Spring Moss ink on the edges.  The sentiment was cut with Mat Stack 1 and stamped in Sweet Blush to match the back of the card.  I'm glad I tried out this card base, it really shows off the vellum die cuts!

Have a good one ~ Luanne

New Home!

This weekend, my son and his family are moving into a new home.  I will be traveling to Indianapolis to see their new place!  Of course, I just had to use my Boards and Beams set for a card to take them.

I decided to try out this week's Make it Monday for my house.  I think the technique was fun, and I want to try it out with flowers too.  The house was colored with Fine Linen and Kraft, and the roof with Dark Chocolate.  The front door is Pure Poppy, and I made the front lawn with two scraps of Bitty Dot papers in Spring Moss and Ripe Avocado.  The background was embossed with the Picnic Plaid Impression plate.

Thanks for coming by!

I've made two cards this afternoon, casing today's Featured Stamper on SCS.  You can find Sue Kment's adorable card here. The sweet little bunny looked so relaxed in his bubble bath!  I thought right away of two different stamps I had, so I ended up with two cards!

Doesn't this little guy look like he's chillin??

And who doesn't love a bubble bath?

Love coloring with my copics, so it was a pretty relaxing day for me too!  Have a great week!

Make it Monday #120, Overlapping Ombre

I've got another Make it Monday card to share.  This was SO fast to make!  I used Irresistible Ikat, and an Ombre type ink pad.  I've had it a long time, and purchased it because I loved the colors so much.  I started and the bottom, and overlapped the squares right at the point, changing the colors and then when I got to the darkest, reversed the order.  I put the card stock on a Royal Velvet card base, and added a die cut that I embossed the sentiment in white.  A button with twine to finish it off!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Release Day at PTI!

I was so inspired by today's release projects from Papertrey Inc, that I wanted to pull out my Lovely Layers set.  I've loved all the projects I've made with it, and I hadn't used it for a while.  Now there is a fabulous new set called Round Repeats, that is at the top of my list!  Check it out here

I used this week's Make it Monday technique, Overlapping Ombre to make my background.  I started using Aqua Mist, Ocean Tides and Pinefeather inks, and made my flowers.  After covering about half the card stock, I turned it around, and made the border edge, using the little piece that is for the inside of the leaf.  I stamped every 1/4".  Then I used the next color, and placed it in between the first row.  Lastly, I used the darkest shade at the very bottom, stamping just the top half of the stamp.  I finished the card by putting it on an Ocean Tides card base, and added a die cut from Photo Finishers.  It was cut with Aqua Mist and Stamped in Pinefeather.  Fun, fun, fun!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Enjoy your shopping tonight...!

Monday Morning Stamping Fun

This morning I had a late day for work, so I sat down for a little stampy time!  I pulled out Irresistible Ikat and chose Ocean Tides, Soft Stone and Kraft inks for my card.

After creating my background, I used Mat Stack 3 for a focal point.  I added some Kraft ribbons and buttons, and used a sentiment from Embroidered Blooms.  And then the fun ended, as I had to get to work...

MIM Flagged Borders

Just wanted to make a little card today.  I haven't been able to stamp all week, as work has been super busy.  This is just what I needed to relax this afternoon, as I worked at church this weekend too.

I pulled out some fun splashy colored papers from my stash to make this.  I started to make four little cupcakes from Tremendous Treats - Valentines, but opted for the larger one from Baby Button Bits.  I paper pieced the cupcake paper, and found the perfect "cherry" button in my Holiday Mix Buttons! (I love it when that happens!)  I stamped just the cherry stem on the card, and then glued the cut out cupcake in place.  What a great and fun way to use up some scraps.  I used 4 dies to make this, the double ended banner die, a half & half die, the beautiful beads die (which I notched the larger edge with a square punch, and a smaller banner die from Verve.  The sentiment is from Stampin Up, and everything else is from PTI.

Have a great week ~ tomorrow the fun begins at PTI!

Father's Day Relaxing...

Got going on a couple of Father's Day cards.  Using the new set from Melissa Bickford's Polka Dot Parade and some Basic Grey papers called Little Black Dress.

The ticket is from a little package of goodies I won from Moe Plut, sent all the way from Canada. I was the perfect little pop to make it more interesting!

I'm not sure which one will go to my dad, or if I'll make some more!  That's it for today!

Ruby Rose Birthdays

I'm getting ready for a couple of birthdays this month, for my sweet daughter in law, and my wonderful step mother.  I knew Ruby Rose would be the perfect set for both these awesome women!

I really enjoyed mixing up the papers and stamping, but found that I liked the blooms best if they were stamped all in one color.

I didn't think I needed another floral set, but I'm so glad I found this lovely set sneak into my card!  Both of these card were inspired by Melissa Phillips beautiful card from the release, found here..!

Thanks for dropping by!
