Love Wet Paint!

This set is so awesome!  Wet Paint is a must have for any stamper. After seeing it on many cards in the March Blog Hop, I knew I had to get inky with it!  I paired it up with Bold Blooms for both of these cards.

This second one is my favorite. I used white embossing powder on Royal Velvet. The spray of flowers were ones I had made when I first got the set and was just playing around.

Yes, now I may have to re-buy the dies I sold. Haha, ever done that?

Have a great day!

Over the top Gloss!

For my last card, I went a little wild with the gloss!  After stamping the Art Deco Background with New Leaf and Tropical Teal, I used UTE to emboss the whole panel.  I know, a little too much??  But I went with it.  I added a Half and Half die, topped with the Boutique Borders Congrats frame and a sentiment from Signature Greetings.

Wow, it's bright...!  It was hard to get a decent photo. Its not my favorite, it make go into the re-do pile....! That's it for me.  I've sure had fun with this glossy challenge!  Thanks again for stopping by.

Silver and Shine

Card number two for the March PTI Blog Hop, features some very glossy paper.  I used the new Gatsby frame which I embossed with silver EP. In fact, it was so glossy, I had to tone it done with some Winter Wisteria card stock!

An elegant Wedding card evolved.  I love this new frame!!  It was easy to stamp too!

Thanks for looking, I'll be back with one more card later...!

PTI March Blog Hop

I  have several cards to share for this months Papertrey Ink Blog Hop! This month's theme is glossy!

This first card was inspired by some funky pants I saw in a catalog and a card by Nichole in February.  Her card used Aqua EP on Enchanted Evening, I chose to put mine on Royal Velvet.  I also glossed up some button stacks for more shine!

Such fun color to work with.  I'll use these two products together again!  The sentiment was cut with a Photo Finishers die from vellum and stamp with a sentiment from the Everyday collection.

That's for looking!

Color Throughdown Love!

Loved the colors for this weeks CTD challenge!  However, I did have to scrounge around for the right colors. I had the Perfect Plum wrong, but was able to find a small piece from my stash!

The layout was one that Betsy Veldman used a while back. I used an impression plate of circles on the top layer, and the polka dot paper is PTI's new Tropical Teal line. It's a really close match to Bermuda Bay.

Thanks for looking!

With or Without?

Playing with the new Gatsby Frame and stamps today. I can't decide whether to add the prima flower or not...what's your opinion?

Or with?

Help me decide! Thanks!!

SAF Buttons

I've had these cute buttons laying only desk since August. Bout time to use them right?  They finally made it onto a card over the weekend...

I used a Kraft Card base, that I stamped with the quilt background. Then I added a strip of Bacaic Grey paper and a little Rusic Cream to place the buttons. The sentiment is from Words of Comfort.

Happy Weekend!

Something New With Doodlie Do

Tried a different thing with my favorite Doodlie Do!  I just used Sweet Blush and Smokey Shadow ink, and no coloring.  I did use my Viva Pearl pen and some Dazzling Diamonds to sparkle it up!

Here you can see the glitter a little better...

I'm giving this to a sweet friend next week, she is amazing!

When you loose a pet...

I had a request for a card to send someone that lost their precious pet.  That's so hard!  I lost my little Heidibear over 7 years ago, and we still miss her!  She was a miniature schnauzer, so I thought of her all evening while I was making this card!

The dog is from Oh Come All Ye Faithful, and the sentiment from Words of Comfort.  The paper is from Basic Grey Max & Whiskers and I used Soft Stone card stock.

I think it will bring some comfort to that pet owner.

Cheery Birthday!

I made this over the weekend to honor this week's Featured Stamper on SCS.  She had the most cheery colors in the card I cased. Nice for this dreary day!

I pulled out Ruby Rose Reprise for my flowers. Such a nice addition to this great set.

It's Hump Day!

Baby Shower Fun

This afternoon I'm heading off to a baby shower, so this morning I made a card and tag for my gift.  Michelle is having a little boy, so I know a little Spring Rain cardstock was in order...

I used some Zing Butter EP for the rattle, and then made a mask from a circle punch to stamp the button in the center, making a super flat card that would be great for mailing,  I simply snipped some of the lines out to place it on the card base.

Inspired by a Chair

A while ago, we were visiting my MIL in Florida.  She lives in a beautiful retirement home that is furnished exquisitely.  Well we got off an elevator on one of the 12 floors, and I spotted this wonderful chair with a fantastic print.  I told my husband I was coming back with my camera!  This is the picture I snapped...

I think I had just purchased Embroidered Blooms, and was sure it would make an awesome color scheme.  When I though about Erin's Make it Monday video, I remembered this photo and pulled it up as my inspiration!

I stared with a Rustic Cream card base.  I stamped a Canvas Background, and then used a mask to create a frame with the Mat Stack 1 die.  I used ink with a blending tool to do this.  I left the mask in place and started with the leaves.  Then I added my flowers.  After this was completed, I took the mask off. Using Dark Chocolate ink and then Versamark, I stamped and clear embossed the sentiment (from Fancy Folk Art). Then I used Versamark and Chestnut embossing powder for the frame.  I think is gave even more dimension to this flat and ready to go card!

Cake Time

I fell in love with Building Blocks, because I love this sentiment!  Haha!!  I need to bring cake to all my future meetings, and then it'll be a party!  So.... I absolutely love Tropical Teal teamed up with Lemon Tart!  I used some Zing EP in Butter on the Teal, and it worked wonderfully.  And the new Button Stacks?  Love.

So there you have it!  Scrumptiousness!!

Have a great week!

Smiley Watercolor

Hi there! I'm back today with another watercolor background card. For this one I used aqua mist ink and embossed with white and gold.

I used some brand new Tropical Teal cardstock as my base!  It was pretty wavey to attach, but as Dawn said a little extra adhesive will take care of that.
