Had to try out some different stamps for this weeks Make it Monday. So many possibilities! For this card I used Ombré Builders with Limeaide Ice. Then I added the little Teacup from Postmarks. The sentiment is from Latte Love.

Sometimes color combinations just speak to you. Melissa Phillips posted some cards a while back that made me hunt down the papers to purchase. I've been going through them quickly, which could be a good thing until they run out! The papers are called "vintage summer". Anyway, this weekend I made this card with some of them.

I have another Make it Monday to share today. I had this idea to create a background with the Fancy Flourishes set. I started with Soft Stone cardstock and stamped the flourishes with the same. Then I used my Aqua Mist reinker to watercolor. It lost the fine detail, but I loved the look, almost like it was freehand. The I took some white cardstock, and used Delightful Dalhias to create my floral spray. I've always had a littl trouble lining the layers up, but no problem with a wet brush afterwards! I fussy cut the whole thing out, and then added a center of Flowersoft in Raspberry Fizz and Glitter. The sentiment was stamped with Ocean Tides and it was all ad heated to an Ocean Tides card base.

This morning I was able to try out Heather's great technique of watercoloring without lines. I had some special inspiration from my Grandma, who was a fabulous china painter. I have some special pieces that she gave me, and a few that I got from my mom.
This plate was done in 1962. I know, because she signed the back with her name, "Mattie". She was the sweetest, lovable, woman ever. She was also a great prayer warrior til she died in her mid 90's. My dad inherited her artistic talent, I think I got a smidgen, and my middle son is talented too.
So here is my card...
I think is looks better the farther you get away, as watercoloring looses a little detail of this great stamp.
So there you have it! Thanks for taking a look!

So I quickly finished up my card this morning for this months Blog Hop. What a great inspiration piece we had!
I chose the sweet green background as my base, the plaid envelope, and the pretty flower, doily and stems for inspiration.
Thanks for stopping by today!

I used the largest hand from Hands of Time, and generational stamping. After I stamped the hands, I used the big clock face and stamped Soft Stone on top of it. Rather than cutting the edge, I gently tore the edge. I have Background Basics Needlepoint stamped on my card base in white, and finished it off with an Aqua Mist ribbon.
It's good to stamp again, but I'll leave you with a little picture of Siesta Key...

I took this fun challenge to a different direction, by passing on the flowers and pulling out animals. It's a Jungle Out There is still a favorite of mine, and it was fun to work with.
