Another Lighthouse

I made this for my eldest son's birthday this week. I think it's a great image for a more masculine card.

Hope he likes it!

Have a great week!

Check out these cute shoes that are our inspiration for this months hop!  Love how sweet they are, and had fun putting my card together.

The stripe I used, is new printed vellum. The flowers are the Scribble Circle dies, with buttons for the centers. I even took inspiration from the inside of the shoes for my sentiment, using Over/Under Easy with the pretty scroll on the bottom and top, embossed with gold.

Thanks for hopping by today!

MIM Stamping with Neutrals

I went for a Sympathy card for this week's technique challenge from Dawn.  I used Fine Linen card stock and ink for the base, and Boutique Borders Sympathy for the sentiment.  I had stamped the first set of flowers with Smokey Shadow, and it just took away from the softness of a sympathy card. So I tried again, using Kraft and Fine Linen leaves, and liked it a lot better.  The blooms (from Garden Grace) are Berry Sorbet, stamping off once for the flower centers.

Great way to use unlikely colors on a card!

Coffee time

I love coffee, and sometimes a cup with a friend is just what you need!   I put this together from bits and pieces on my craft table. It's just one way to make more room for card making!

Have a good day...and a great cup of coffee!

A fun and easy technique this week for making condensation on our projects.  I chose to add my droplets onto my roses, as well as a few on my vase.

I was afraid to put them on, but once I did, it was great!  It added just a bit of sparkle to make the card shine.

I love Make it Monday's. It always pushes me to try something different!

Thanks for stopping by!

Special Day

I was inspired to create a card for for my daughter in law, by this post from Melissa Phillips.

I loved the gingham mixed with the tiny flower print.  I made my own print, using the flowers in Graceful Greetings, and the gingham is from the Chicken Skratch paper pad.

I added a spray of flowers from Bitty Blooms too.  A button with a little twine completed my card. I think she'll love her birthday card. ;)

Thanks for looking!

Plaid at the Watercooler

I I absolutely love the new Plaid Builder from PTI.  I got to play with it, and another new favorite, Watercooler Talk, because a co-worker is going to another department and I won't see him a a regular basis now.

I loved that I could choose masculine colors (Fine Linen, Kraft, Pinefeather, and Dark Chocolate) and that there was a perfect sentiment for the occasion.  Can't wait to give it to him tomorrow!

Thanks Betsy and Dawn, for your wonderful new stamp sets!

Have a great day! ~ Luanne
