I've always loved stick pins in a card, but was never really sure how to do it. I'm so glad Melis gave us some helpful ways to attach them. I made one of her fun "junk" bows to add mine.

All good things must come to an end. I had a great time creating with everyone, even though this was the first year a stamped alone! It's been a blast! Here are the projects I finished. The necklace is still a work in progress, haha!
I am so happy I pulled this awful card for a makeover! It's always bothered me, and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner.
Ugh. The flower was so big and overwhelming, and did I really like that New Leaf ribbon? Yikes! When I pulled the monstrosity off, there was a lot of paper stuck down, so I opted to cover the majority of the Lemon Tart base with papers from Nostalgic Notions. Already it was looking better!
Then I took the small limitless layer dies to make a focal point. I added some posies from BITTY BOUQUETS, and a cute TINIER TAG with some red Bakers Twine.
Quite happy with the Making it Work on this one!
This was so much fun! I loved all the inspiration!! I finally settled on this one from Dawn...
Love the set from Heather called STAMPED & STITCHED. I pulled it out for my challenge card. (I do hope to make one with the stick pins too!) I used one of Betsy's paper combinations for this. These are colors I wouldn't normally use, but I loved them! I embossed the blanket stitches using Autumn Rose and Versamark. The box has yellow embossed stitches using Zing Butter EP.
I had to give Dawn's challenge a try! I'm all about the Greens and Blues! So her challenge to add a color combo you wouldn't normally use? Well, I gave it a try. I dislike orange. Rarely use it on cards, except for Halloween! Melon Berry included. So after looking at my options, I went for New Leaf, Hawaiian Shores and the not so favorite, Melon Berry.
I started with the favorites, by watercoloring a background with the green and turquoise. (Thanks for that tutorial Dawn, I have a new love for my Zigs!). I cut and stamped the blooms with the dreaded Melon Berry. After adding the Hawaiian Shores stems from Turning a New Leaf, I place the flowers and leaves how I liked them. Then I added some Aqua Rhinestones to the centers of the flowers.
I guess it's all right. Still not a fan of orange! ;-)
When I first saw we needed hardware supplies, I thought, well I can just pull out something from my hubby's stash! However, I had to just go "look" at Home Depot on lunch Friday, and found much more interesting items to play with! I didn't use everything I purchased, so I was all in on this card for about $3.50.
Here's my creation.....!
I little rad for me, but I liked how it came together. The main items are the Neon Key ID Bands. They fit around the circles cover plate die perfectly. The clear globs are the Vinyl Bumpers.
Fun for a young guy's birthday card! I will use those sticky numbers too. I have lots of friends turning 60 this year!
Thanks for looking!

I love to mix patterned papers, however, if they don't come in a collection, I hesitate! I love the way the papers in the kit were so different, yet mixed so well. My eye was drawn to the dark blue print, so I started with that piece.
So, I really, really wanted to use Hibiscus Burst for my ribbon. Seeing that I have none, I took some pale pink seam binding, and ran my ink pad over it. Have you ever done that? It seems to have worked, so hopefully it won't get wet and smear all over the place!
So I'm done posting for today. I have all my hardware out and ready to go for tomorrow.....;-)
I had to make a card based on Danielle's great ideas for Bakers Tine. I'm a big fan!
So taking a break from the felt necklace project, I made this...
I had never made a "nest" of thread, so this card used Laura's technique today. I went right for SONGBIRDS, a set that I love, but haven't used enough!
I mad a background with the music staff in red. The leaves are Kraft Bitty Dot, so the gold thread looked better for my nest. I added a small Kaisercraft pearl for the birds eye. The bottom edge was cut with the waves staff die, and I chose to balance it out with a strip of the bitty dot.
Off to have a little lunch now. See you this afternoon!
So hard to choose which pattern today! I really loved them all. I finally went with Danielle 's, thinking it would work well for a Sympathy card. (I have an order for 12 right now!). I used WORDS OF COMFORT and BITTY BOUQUETS to make my card, based on this sketch.
I pulled out one of my favorite sets to make my wedding card, HANDS OF TIME. I embossed in white on plain vellum. White hands, white ribbon, white pearls, a white sparkly brad.... !!

I could hardly wait for work to be over today, just thinking about joining the SAF fun this weekend! This is the first year I won't be with my stamping buds... :-( . With school already in session in Lexington, their kids are keeping them busy. Needless to say they will be missed!
So, I'm soaking my sticks,

I think it speaks Fall, which is just around the corner! I went for clean and simple for my card...
I used Ombré Builders with the pallet of colors, a diecut from Swoosh, and a bit of twine. Sometimes simple works for me!
Enjoy the rest of the creations, and have a great day!

I ended up making another fall card, to put into a set of four. This one is very subtle, but I love how it turned out!

Pulled out one of my favorite fall stamp sets for this week's MIM, Harvest Berries!
I stamped an all over background stamp in Fine Linen to start. It gave a lot of texture to this super easy flat card.

I was so in love with this awesome card by Heather, I couldn't wait to try it out! I love this new challenge, as I get so inspired by all the designers.
I used a sheet of white cardstock, and the same colors, and spritzed with water too. I had some smaller leaf images that worked well. The base of my card was stamped with Autumn Pattern Pieces, which I still love, love, love! I have a ton of fall birthday cards to make, so I used Wet Paint to add a birthday sentiment.
So.. I had to make a second card, because I had more leaves!...
Thanks for stopping by!

For my card, I used Petite Pots with Summer Sunrise ink and the Herringbone background stamp. (Gets me eager for Fall stamping!)
