December 2015 Blog Hop Challenge

Hi there!
Hope you've had a blessed Christmas with family and friends. We are currently with my children and their families.  Before we headed their way, I made a special Christmas card for my Mother in Law, and used this month's inspiration from Papertrey to create it.

I loved the texture of the background, the white writing on the black plates, and of course, the lovely greenery!

I love Spruce & Springs! I chose to make my berries with white embossing powder, to reflect the sprig in the photo. Hope you have a chance to play along too!

Make It Monday #234: Embellishing with Felt

I finally had a few minutes to watch Ashley's Make it Monday this afternoon! I don't use felt very often, so it was really inspiring!  Here is my take on it...

I thought this would be a cute card to send to expectant parents, what do you think?

Thanks for looking!

Snowflake in Blue

Couldn't wait to make another card with this set!

I used Blueberry Sky and Spring Rain for my Stamping. The snowflake was cut from the Luxe Silver cardstock. I'll probably have to make another one with the cutouts!  Love this set!

It's going to be 72 in Lexington this weekend. Maybe making snowflakes will help this Michigan girl remember this is the Christmas season!

Make It Monday #233: Splattering

Well, I have most of my Christmas cards ready, so this afternoon I decided to pull out some newer products I hadn't played with yet for Make it Monday. I'm loving the new Quilted Winter snowflake, and by using the Misti to stamp, I was able to stamp perfectly onto a background square, and then add the  die cut right on top.  My spattering is on the background, that I cut out with the stitched retangle. I love how the green of the card base peeks through (it my first use of Vintage Jadette!)

I used my Wink of Stella pen (a new favorite thing!) in the background of the snowflake die.  This was really fun to make, and I love the Spattering technique Danielle taught us.

A close up of sparkle...

Thanks for stopping by!
