Had some fun today, with something old and something new!  The old, is the Background Basics Farm & Barn. When I purchased this set, it was for the chicken wire, but I've only used the barn wood! Ha, that's changed now, as I used it for the clear embossing for this technique! The new is Painted Petals, which hadn't seen ink yet. What a fun set to play around with! I used some fun springy colors on this beautiful Easter weekend!

Here's a close up of the detai, you can see I added a few rainstones and layered my die cut...

Happy Easter everyone!

What interesting inspiration we've had this month! Izziyana Suhaim is an amazing artist, that Nicole choose to get our creative juices rolling.  I chose this piece for inspiration, but all of the artwork is uniquely interesting!

Here is my card...

I started with Soft Stone Cardstock, and embossed just the line images from Vintage Linens in white. Then I used the the flowers and leaves from Embroidered Blooms, using colors that were a little different for me. The final dots in the centers were embossed in gold.  My sentiment is also embossed in gold on vellum, cut with a Boutique Borders die cut.

Hope you enjoy all of the inspired creations this month. Can't wait to see what you've made!

Happy Easter!

I have another Easter card today. I've sent this off to my Mother in Law in Florida. Hope she likes it!

I've used Flower Favorites and Easter Alleluias for this. Lavender Moon is such a springy color! I'm ready for a wonderful Easter Day too!

Celebrate Easter!

Today I am sharing one of the Easter cards I've made this year.  I've paired up Easter Alleluia  Allwith a Bold Blossoms watercoloring sheet. (Both from Papertrey Ink)

I love how this sheet can be turned in different ways!  Here, I've put it sideways so my sentiment fit perfectly.  I am still working on my watercoloring skills, but have found that deeper tones of color work well.

Hope you have a wonderful Easter celebration this year!

Color Throwdown #384

Fun Springy colors this week!

Since I was making Easter cars (it's this weekend!), I used them to fill my basket!

Thanks for the inspiration! Can't wait to see what's next...

Create Along With Us: March 2016

I chose a quick and easy card, based on Maile's sweet new SPLITS series.  I have the first set, and am eager to add the second one tonight!  For my card, I created her look using Boutique Borders Thanks, Over Under Easy,, and Pretty Peonies.

This went together so fast, and it was fun to incorporate stamps I hadn't used for a while.  I love creating with PTI's fabulous designers!

Happy Tuesday All,

I have a new love for my daubers and blending tools. I'm enjoying my stencils, and now a new way to use multiple colors on my stamps.

I used the sweet set of flowers that was in an order recently, and my flowers were sponged in Lemon Tart, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunset, and Orange Zest.  It worked perfectly.  Thanks for a great, fun technique this week, Dawn!

Have a good week ahead!

Color Throwdown #383

Today I'm sharing a card I made for this week's Color Throwdown.  I wanted to use a new Coverplate, and thought the cute potted plants would work with the colors and style.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy your weekend!

Baby Time!

One of my dear coworkers is expecting her second son in early April, so I've made this for her.

I had purchased the sweet baby papers a while ago, so it was fun to pull them out and use! I used more of them for a gift card enclosure on the inside. The stamps are from Baby Button Bits, one of my favorites!

Thanks for looking today.

It seems like I only create for Make it Monday's, but I really do make other things! It's just the thing I like to blog about the most! And this week we have another great challenge from Betsy.

I love these new stencils, and this is just another great way to use them.  My colors are Sweet Blush, Lavender Moon, Winter Wisteria, and Plum Pudding.  I made this for a coworker to give to his wife, who loves Lavender!  The sentiment is from Script Sentiments, and the flowers from Brushed Blooms.  And since he doesn't have to mail it, I used some Winter Wisteria satin ribbon too!

Have fun trying this out!

Just had to add another one I made today. Did I say how much I love these stencils??

Have a super fun time trying this out!
