Got my first Halloween card made for one of the grandkids! I made my tag for this week's Make it Monday, using some inexpensive Hobby Lobby paper, and my Coverplate Angled Stripes die. I adhered it to another tag cut from scraps to make it a little stronger. The Coverplate was cut from Summer Sunrise, and my ghosts from vellum. The faces are embossed with Black Sparkle embossing powder, and behind those faces I used a drop of gel adhesive to get them attached. The was fun!

This month our inspiration photo is full of soft colored brushstrokes. I love pink and brown together, a long time favorite.
I needed a birthday card for a coworker, and thought she'd like some pink and a teacup!
I started with applying my inks using Watercolor Wonder, and then I took a wet brush to soften and spread the color. After my background was dry, I added the teacup, made with Cocoa Bean. The steamy froth and design on the front were watercolored and highlighted with a Wink of Stella clear pen. The sentiment is from Friendly Flowers.
Happy Hop Day!

The end of August, I celebrate the birthdays of two of my granddaughters! Addison will be 11, and Brooklyn will be 7. I think they are Super Girls, so I made Superhero cards for them!

So much inspiration from the design team this month! I kept going back to Danielle's card...
I loved the unique colors, and felt like I could use things I already had to case her card. I started by making my own plaid background, using Stormy Seas, Saffron Spice (yes, my order came today!), and Dark Chocolate. I used the Over Under Easy set for my embossed edges. The sentiment is from Autumn Hils and my fall spray is from Quilted Autumn.

I have a watercolored card to shar e today. It's somethings I've tried to improve my skills in and made this with my new Peony Scrolls stamp set from Altenew. I used the inspiration for this month as my starting point...
I used the no line technique, by stamping my blooms and leaves with Soft Stone. Then I used pinks for the flowers, and a gray/green ink for my leaves.
I mounted it with a piece of fun foam which helps it keep it flat. The sentiment is from PTI's Meadow Greens stamp set.
That's for stopping by! Have a great week.

Fun, easy challenge this week from Lexi! I got off work earlier today, and had a chance to play along. I pulled out Bowl of Sunshine, it hadn't seen ink for a while!
