October 2016 Blog Hop Challenge

Creating for this month's inspiration was so much fun!  The picture is full of beautiful fall colors, with a twist - soft green pumpkins!

I decided to make a background using Backbround Basics Farm and Barn.  I inked with Fresh Snow, and stamped onto Stormy Sea Cardstock.  Then I used my recently purchased Twig Wreat to create a Thanksgiving card.  I found the perfect music papers in my stash for a little accent at the bottom, it even had a little greenish cast to it.

The sentiment is from Autumn Hills, embossed with Chestnut Zing embossing powder.

That's for stopping by today. Looking forward to seeing everyone's take for this month!

I've got a card I made for this week's Make it Monday to share today.  I'm finally done with all the October birthdays, and have started creating for Christmas. One gal at work has asked for eight cards, so I have been happily pulling out sets from a year or two ago to make them. Two Feet Deep is my all time favorite, so I used it for this challenge.

I started with Spring Rain Cardstock, and used Fresh Snow ink with my snowflake die cuts.  Then I added the marvelous sled, a few small Spring Rain snowflakes, a Pure Poppy ribbon, and a few clear sequins.

Thanks Melis for your awesome technique and inspiration!

Color Throwdown #414

I needed a masculine Get Well card this week, and thought the colors for Color Throwdown #414, were a perfect mix of cheery and not too girly!

I also thought the leaves were a great switch from flowers too.

The background was stamped with an old SU stamp called Canvas, using Fresh Snow ink on Smokey Slate Cardstock.  The rest of the papers, dies and stamps are from Papertry Ink.

Great colors for this week ~ thanks!!

This release has made me eager to do some Christmas cards.  I chose Betsy's beautiful card as my inspiration this month!  She used snowflakes...

And I used my (yet to see ink) ornament set.  I love these beautiful stamps & dies!  The bottom layer is shimmer white card stock that is so pretty in real life.

Thanks for your continued inspiration, PTI girls!

Color Throwdown #413

I thought these colors would make a perfect masculine card. Since my dad is turning 90 this year, I decided to use them for his card.

I used PTI's Paper Clippings - Birthday dies to create my card.  The card base is Night of Navy and Brushed Gold from Stampin Up, and Orange Zest from PTI.  I used some clear Wink of Stella sparkle for thr icing on the cake. Wish you could see it a little better on camera!

Thanks for looking,

Make It Monday #263: Background Building with Frames

What a fun challenge this week. It really got my creative juices going, so this morning I was finally able to sit down and put my idea into a card. I'm still working on October projects, and so I chose to make another Halloween card for one of my grandkids.

I used the frame from Gatsby Glamor, some Halloween paper from my stash, and Happy Haunting stamps and dies.  Just love these cute little ghosties!

Thanks for stopping by today!
