SEPTEMBER 2016 BLOG HOP CHALLENGE

Thought I'd get my card posted tonight, as I have a busy day at church tomorrow.  We were inspired by this photo for September...

I love the pinecones, but I worked with the the colors this month.

The bird and branch are from Winter Woods, and the sentiment is from an an older set, Sending You.  I rounded two corners, and used my Fresh Snow ink pad to run along the edges.  Clean and simple, like the fabulous photo.

Thanks for hopping by!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #261

October is Men's Birthday Month at the Ford home, so I was thrilled when I saw this week's MIM.  This will be one of many (6 to be more precise!) masculine birthday cards in the coming days...

Had to use my new favorite floral set to add a bloom, but the Color Pop Autumn and Spruce and Sprigs came in to play. My sentiment is from Keep it Simple Birthday for that more masculine font.

Thanks for looking!

Create Along With Us: September 2016

I'm playing along today for the September Create Along with us today.  I loved Dawn's pretty Christmas card and how she used the bookmark die.  I had to give it a try!

Here is her card

Isn't it beautiful??  I made mine into a Fall Birthday card, using my Color Pop Autumn kit.

I have a double cut of the word Bountiful, as the first layer of Canyon Clay just didn't pop enough. The top layer is Pure Poppy, and I offset it a little.  I'm going to do this again, thanks Dawn for your inspiration!

Saffron Spice for Fall Leaves

Loving my new Floral Sketches stamps. I made this yesterday in Autumn colors.

The sentiment is from In My thoughts. The card base and leaves were stamped with Saffron Spice, my new fall favorite leaf color!

MAKE IT MONDAY #260 - FROM BLACK AND WHITE TO COLOR

I'm not usually one of the firsts to create their MIM cards, but with the holiday, I thought I'm going to get one made first thing this morning, I have a busy week ahead!

I don't have any open leaf stamps! So, I got a little creative with some black leaves from TANL, and there is a little bit of green down the left....

Fun challenge this week.  I'm off to Michigan on Thursday for my nephew's wedding. I realized I haven't been home for a really long time! Can't wait!

Make It Monday #259 - Ombré Cluster Stamping

This morning I made an anniversary card for my daughter and son in law.  They will be married three years this month, and fall is totally their favorite season. I pulled out one of my fall favorite stamp sets, Mums the Word, to use the Ombré Cluster stamping technique for their card.

The colors are Terracotta Tile, Canyon Clay and Summer Sunrise, with Spring Moss leaves. I love all the fabulous detail in these blooms!! The sentiment is from Meadow Greens.

Enjoy your weekend all...
