This was so fun and easy! I used Melon Berry, Sweet Blush and Pure Poppy reinkers. I kept my card simple because the background spoke for itself!

I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment, first in Pure Poppy and then with Versa-mark, then I clear embossed. I added sequins, dots and twine ~ all done!

April 2017 Blog Hop Inspiration

I was so inspired by this photo with colors I don't normally use, that I made two cards for this months Blog Hop!

One for Mother's Day, and another for encouraging a friend!

The butterfly is from Pretty Peonies and I used Sweet Blush for my watercolor background.

Color Throwdown Countdown #439

Such a perfect color scheme for a bouquet of Spring blooms!

I used Better Together from PTI. I embossed in gold and then used my watercolor paints. So much prettier in real life!

Had fun using Dawns technique for layering pattern under a window diecut.

I cut my frame using Lavender Moon patterned paper. My flowers are from Fresh Bouquet and the sentiment from Garden Grace. I used a stencil directly on my card base. I loved doing this and will use it again!

Love all the inspiration we are seeing this month!  I couldn't wait to make a pretty Mothers Day card like this one.

I used different colors, but I loved the Botanical Letters for MOM!

I don't have the dies, but it worked fine stamping directly onto the card. !

Make It Monday #280: Stamping Outside of the Box

I don't make a lot of clean and simple cards, but this was so fast!  I got home from work, and put this together in no Time!

I had the tulips made, and I've been putting Easter cards together with them. I love how this came about! The block was stamped in New Leaf, it is from the Superhero set.

Color Throwdown #436

I made a card for my daughter this morning. I picked up a little gift for her "just because" and I wanted to tuck this in when I send it.  When I got to my craft table to put it together, the inks for this week's  Color Throwdown were sitting out, so there you go! Just the inspiration I needed.

It isn't quite this dark, it's a gloomy morning and tough to get a decent picture! Thanks for looking, it was a beautiful color combination this week!

Make It Monday #279: Curved Sentiments

One of my best friends is going through surgery today, for a double knee replacement! Praying all will go well, and I know she'll need some encouragement during the long recovery. She's in Canada, so I wanted something fairly flat to send. And I loved the Hang In There sentiment from the Keep it Simple set.

The curved sentiment is on a die cut from Bountiful Banners. And I really enjoyed inking up my new Beautiful Berries!

Make It Monday #278: Window Chipboard Sentiments

I I chose to make a springy birthday card this week.

Once it was done, it called for decorating the inside too!

Fun way to make sentiments pop! Thank you Stephanie!

March Blog Hop

I chose to focus on the picture with the bird in it for today's Blog Hop.

I went with a lighter background of Auqa Mist, so I could include some background shading and stamping. You can't see it much in the photo, but after sponging the sides, I used the music notes from Songbirds.  The flowers are from Floral Sketches, the bird is from Spring Woods, and the sentiment is from Banner Style. When I got done, it looked a little like it was floating, so I decided to do some faux stitching around the edge with a Navy marker.

Thanks for looking!

PTI 10th Anniversary

I finished my last project using one of my favorite floral stamp sets. How could I choose just one! I couldn't, so I had to choose the one that fit my project! I wanted to do a dark background like Stephanie had posted during the countdown. I used navy instead of black, and I love the finished look just as well.  I'll add my sentiment when I'm ready to use it.  It's always good to have one of those "almost finished" cards that would work for any occasion on hand.

I'm excited to see everything and decide what goes into my cart! How about you?

PTI 10th Anniversary

Thank you Shelly on the forum! Because she thought of having my daughter snap a picture of this card I sent to her of her fur babies. I was SO excited to send it after I made it for the PTI challenge, that I forgot to take a picture of it!!

She loved the card and already has it displayed on a shelf. Who could resist those sweet faces.

PTI 10th Anniversary

I found these cute dies for today's project in the set called Building Blocks. I loved that I could use scraps to make my rainbow and they cut four at a time!

I used Rainy Day sentiments, Up, Up and Away clouds, and stars from 2012 Birthday Tags. Not my usual style, but it was fun to be challenged!

PTI 10th Anniversary

My cheer up card to be mailed...

I'm pretty good at mailing out my cards. I send one every month to my mother in law. Sometimes I leave them blank so she can use them! I like to decorate my envelopes too, especially with coordinating papers in side. Hope this will brighten her day!

PTI 10th Anniversary

Day 2 with Rebecca challenged us to make a pretty package or tags. I had been saving this lace cupcake holder, knowing it would make a great project, and today was the day!

The peachy pink lace cupcake holder is shimmery, and when Rebecca shared how she and her Grandmother collected pretty things, yeah, this was one of those for me!  I've adhered it with spray glue and trimmed them edges. The sentiment is from Songbirds and there is a double layer of Melon Berry Bitty Dots and Vellum.

Now I need a wedding!

PTI 10th Anniversary

Yay! I bought these stitching stamps and dies three years ago! Time to pull them out, right?

Lizzie's post gave me the jump start to pull them out and play. I was inspired by a card Dawn made during that release. I remember now why I got them. Fun and easy stitching!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2012

I was so excited to see this set featured for 2012. I made tons of cards with it, and just loved all the possibilities for different color combinations.

I'm heading for vacation in the morning and visiting my sister-in-law who is an avid  reader. So I will be taking this quick little book mark to her. I know she'll love it! Wish I had time to play more, but I'm off to finish packing!

Happy Stamping!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2011

I've got a baby card today, using Dawn's Background Basic set. I've also used her Boutique Borders set, and her Tucked In set is stamped on the inside!

Thank you Dawn for all your inspiration and wonderful designs. Today I'm celebrating you!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2010

Thank How fun to revisit A Wreath for All Seasons! I've now made my first Christmas card for 2017! I chose this beautiful card from Dawn for Inspiration. She always puts together amazing colors for her creations.

I chose more traditional colors, and used some of my new papers and ribbon from the January sale......

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2009

I don't own any of the featured sets today, but always loved the "On my Couch" set.  I decided to use those cards as my springboard for today's card.  I went and looked at the 2009 sets, and found one of my favorites, Vintage Picnic!  I thought it was so innovative, and asked for it for Christmas that year.  I was delighted to receive it from my kids.  It was so fun to pull out and ink up again!

I added ribbon and remembered how you never made a card without it back then!  I especially love to use ribbon when I don't have to mail the card.  This is going to a coworker next week, so I don't have to worry about postage for bulk.

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2008

No one does flowers better than Papertrey Ink, and Floral Frenzy is no exception! Nicole's beautiful color combination of Royal Velvet, Hibiscus Burst and Simply Chartreuse make for a gorgeous card.

I chose to work with the colors and use Daydreamer Flowers for my card.  I left off the stitching and added a scalloped edge with some printed vellum tucked in.

Who thinks of stamping flowers upside down? The creative designers of course!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2007

Wish I had Spiral Bouquet! What a cool set. I love what Dawn does with her Zig markers, and although I only have 12, I wanted to use her card for my inspiration.  I've used two of her stamp sets, Floral Sketches and Watercooler Talk, to create a card for a coworker that is off to a new job next week.

Sunday, February 5, 2017

I love all my new papers!!  And I am expecting some more....yikes! It was like Christmas in January when I opened that first package, and I've e been enjoying trying them all out.  This week's Make it Monday was no exception...

I used my Frilly Flowers dies. I had to hunt them down, and once I blew off the dust, this card happened quickly!

Colors are Spring Moss, Harvest Gold, Summer Sunrise and melon Berry. They are in a piece of Soft Stone gingham.

Color Throwdown #427

Love this quote from Corrie ten Boom.  Her story is amazing, if you don't know about her.

These colors were so fun to work with.

Love the colors so much I made a second one!

Love from Verve Stamps

Julie from Verve Stamps shared a wonderful free digital set this month.  It is so cute, and today I wanted to start playing with it.  Love a great cup of coffee, and Verve's coffee stamps are the best!

Make It Monday #273: Spinner Cards

I actually made this card with an extra panel from last weeks make it Monday. It will be perfect for one of my granddaughters. And, it was totally easy to make. Thanks Lizzie for a wonderful make it Monday.

Mojo Monday 481

I haven't played Mojo Monday in a long time, but when I saw Julie's card using a doily, I couldn't want to play. You see, in my last order, there were some cute papers and a doily! You know how they always add a sweet little treasure in your order? Yeah, this is what happened!

I am making a set of coffee lover cards for my sister in law, who we're going to visit in February. Looking forward to making more, cause who can resist some cute coffee cards!

January 2017 Blog Hop Challenge

Isn't our inspiration piece fantastic?  I want to eat one of these pretty cookies too!

This month we had a fun challenge of using a black background with a pop of color using a favorite floral. First, I used the stamps to create a background using white embossing powder. Then I used white Cardstock to make just the spray of flowers.  And finished them off with my zig watercolor markers.

This was a lot of fun, and I will do it more often. It really has a punch!

Happy hopping today!

Make It Monday #272: Masked Heart Wreaths

Today I got to open my new paper goodies, and just looking at them made me want to create! So I started by making a card for this week's Make it Monday.

I used the plain heart from Limitless Layers, and some new Berry Sorbet papers.  The flowers are from Bitty Bouquet, and the colors are Melon Berry, Pale Peony, and Lilac Grace. The leaves are Ocean Tides, and I found a perfect button from my new supplies!

Thanks for stopping by!

Make It Monday #271: 2016 A La Carte

Lizzie showed us how to customize paper one week, and I chose that ideas to create a simple Sympathy card.  I used the smalle trio of flowers on an ombré stripe paper.  The sentiment is from Words of Comfort.

Thank you for a wonderful year of fabulous ideas for creating. You all are awesome!

Baby Pink

Pulling out some fun Verve to make my boss a baby card for her shower....

I just love this little elephant!  I used some old Martha Stewart papers, and paper pieced the elephant.  Her little ears stand ou too!

Thanks for stopping by!
