Perfect image to inspire us this month!!

I knew right away I wanted to do a watercolor card for these awesome jars!  I used last week's Make it Monday technique for the flowers, using rolled up baby wipes! I loved making those blooms...

This was so quick and fun to do! I looked through my stamps for a good image, and found Bowl of Sunshine. I thought it was a nice size, and had a cute sentiment. I did have to increase the size of my Square a little to accommodate the sentiment.

The colors are Bright Buttercup and Green Parakeet, and I used a piece of paper from the Black & White paper pack for my background.

Thanks Lexi! I love the cute inspiration of the Pantone chips and have created my own board on Pinterest now!

Happy Birthday Fun

I had the day off today, and made this fun birthday card for my son. When I saw this sentiment from Offbeat Birthday, I knew I had to get it....

He just happens to be an Optometrist! Hahah! I can't wait to send it. :)

I'm always inspired by Dawn's projects, especially the colors she uses! I too my inspiration from the card...

I can't wait to get those new Dies, but I used some that are similar to make my card. The flowers are a spray for Stamp-a-Faire a few years back.

I'm debating adding a button at the point, but for now I've left it simple.  Thanks for stopping by!

Beautiful colors to work with this week!  Used my new Watercolor Wonders set from Altenew.

I have had a blast trying out different color combos for these stamps. The choices for this week's Color Throwdown worked perfectly!

Make It Monday #286: Coordinating Card Pairs

I've been happily crafting away today, since I had Memorial Day off.  I let me get my submission for Make it Monday on Monday!  I too, chose Especially You to make my cards.  I'd been itching to ink it up, and wanting to watercolor it. So the first card I made was embossed in white, and then watercolored.  The second was much simpler, and I had to refrain from doing too much.  It's the step down version, but I think it's just as pretty!

If you don't have this pretty set, put it on your wish list! It's wonderful!

Hope you've had a Happy, Thankful Memorial Day!

Make It Monday #285: Felt Flowers

Hi! I have a card to share for this week's MIM. I don't have the pretty Medellin dies , but I remembered these sweet poppies from Stamp-a-Faire!  So glad I had some pretty papers too. It made this come together quickly!

The sentiment is from Choose Joy, and it's on a Lemon Tart card base.

Hope you have a lovely Memorial Day celebrating our service men and women!

May 2017 Blog Hop Inspiration

Doesn't this photo just scream get out the watercolors?  Yep, I thought so!  So I used them for my card, and now I can't seem to stop making more!!  So lol for more watercoloring in the near future!

I used the no line watercoloring technique for this. I stamped with Soft Stone and then used inks to paint. As always, it's much prettier in real life!

Thank you for stopping by!

Create Along With Us: May 2017

I was inspired by Heather's Sun & Moon card, to make an Anniversary card for my husband.  I had a leftover panel from Stamp-a-Faire, that I "doctored" up to use! I added more color (island indigo) and added sparkle using the stars with Stardust ep. The moon was embossed with black and watercolored with silver paint.

I'm planning to add some star sequins I have on order too. Thanks for looking!

Make It Monday #284: Background Stamping with Sentiment Stamps

Got a quick thank you card I made last night, using Melissa's fun background technique. I'm in love with Pen & Ink, so I used that set too!

It's my birthday, and I have lots of thank you notes to write!  I'm off to spend the weekend with my kids and grandkids this weekend. We're having a double birthday party, as tomorrow is my grandson, Gabe's birthday too! It's going to be beautiful in Indianapolis too!!

Happy Mother's Day to all the great Moms out there !!!

Make It Monday #283: Watercolor Wash Backgrounds

I am so tickled with my finished card using Laurie 's technique! I used my funky background to make a birthday card for my grandson!

I hope he likes it!

This was so fun and easy! I used Melon Berry, Sweet Blush and Pure Poppy reinkers. I kept my card simple because the background spoke for itself!

I used my Misti to stamp the sentiment, first in Pure Poppy and then with Versa-mark, then I clear embossed. I added sequins, dots and twine ~ all done!

April 2017 Blog Hop Inspiration

I was so inspired by this photo with colors I don't normally use, that I made two cards for this months Blog Hop!

One for Mother's Day, and another for encouraging a friend!

The butterfly is from Pretty Peonies and I used Sweet Blush for my watercolor background.

Color Throwdown Countdown #439

Such a perfect color scheme for a bouquet of Spring blooms!

I used Better Together from PTI. I embossed in gold and then used my watercolor paints. So much prettier in real life!

Had fun using Dawns technique for layering pattern under a window diecut.

I cut my frame using Lavender Moon patterned paper. My flowers are from Fresh Bouquet and the sentiment from Garden Grace. I used a stencil directly on my card base. I loved doing this and will use it again!

Love all the inspiration we are seeing this month!  I couldn't wait to make a pretty Mothers Day card like this one.

I used different colors, but I loved the Botanical Letters for MOM!

I don't have the dies, but it worked fine stamping directly onto the card. !

Make It Monday #280: Stamping Outside of the Box

I don't make a lot of clean and simple cards, but this was so fast!  I got home from work, and put this together in no Time!

I had the tulips made, and I've been putting Easter cards together with them. I love how this came about! The block was stamped in New Leaf, it is from the Superhero set.

Color Throwdown #436

I made a card for my daughter this morning. I picked up a little gift for her "just because" and I wanted to tuck this in when I send it.  When I got to my craft table to put it together, the inks for this week's  Color Throwdown were sitting out, so there you go! Just the inspiration I needed.

It isn't quite this dark, it's a gloomy morning and tough to get a decent picture! Thanks for looking, it was a beautiful color combination this week!

Make It Monday #279: Curved Sentiments

One of my best friends is going through surgery today, for a double knee replacement! Praying all will go well, and I know she'll need some encouragement during the long recovery. She's in Canada, so I wanted something fairly flat to send. And I loved the Hang In There sentiment from the Keep it Simple set.

The curved sentiment is on a die cut from Bountiful Banners. And I really enjoyed inking up my new Beautiful Berries!

Make It Monday #278: Window Chipboard Sentiments

I I chose to make a springy birthday card this week.

Once it was done, it called for decorating the inside too!

Fun way to make sentiments pop! Thank you Stephanie!

March Blog Hop

I chose to focus on the picture with the bird in it for today's Blog Hop.

I went with a lighter background of Auqa Mist, so I could include some background shading and stamping. You can't see it much in the photo, but after sponging the sides, I used the music notes from Songbirds.  The flowers are from Floral Sketches, the bird is from Spring Woods, and the sentiment is from Banner Style. When I got done, it looked a little like it was floating, so I decided to do some faux stitching around the edge with a Navy marker.

Thanks for looking!

PTI 10th Anniversary

I finished my last project using one of my favorite floral stamp sets. How could I choose just one! I couldn't, so I had to choose the one that fit my project! I wanted to do a dark background like Stephanie had posted during the countdown. I used navy instead of black, and I love the finished look just as well.  I'll add my sentiment when I'm ready to use it.  It's always good to have one of those "almost finished" cards that would work for any occasion on hand.

I'm excited to see everything and decide what goes into my cart! How about you?

PTI 10th Anniversary

Thank you Shelly on the forum! Because she thought of having my daughter snap a picture of this card I sent to her of her fur babies. I was SO excited to send it after I made it for the PTI challenge, that I forgot to take a picture of it!!

She loved the card and already has it displayed on a shelf. Who could resist those sweet faces.

PTI 10th Anniversary

I found these cute dies for today's project in the set called Building Blocks. I loved that I could use scraps to make my rainbow and they cut four at a time!

I used Rainy Day sentiments, Up, Up and Away clouds, and stars from 2012 Birthday Tags. Not my usual style, but it was fun to be challenged!

PTI 10th Anniversary

My cheer up card to be mailed...

I'm pretty good at mailing out my cards. I send one every month to my mother in law. Sometimes I leave them blank so she can use them! I like to decorate my envelopes too, especially with coordinating papers in side. Hope this will brighten her day!

PTI 10th Anniversary

Day 2 with Rebecca challenged us to make a pretty package or tags. I had been saving this lace cupcake holder, knowing it would make a great project, and today was the day!

The peachy pink lace cupcake holder is shimmery, and when Rebecca shared how she and her Grandmother collected pretty things, yeah, this was one of those for me!  I've adhered it with spray glue and trimmed them edges. The sentiment is from Songbirds and there is a double layer of Melon Berry Bitty Dots and Vellum.

Now I need a wedding!

PTI 10th Anniversary

Yay! I bought these stitching stamps and dies three years ago! Time to pull them out, right?

Lizzie's post gave me the jump start to pull them out and play. I was inspired by a card Dawn made during that release. I remember now why I got them. Fun and easy stitching!

I got to use some new papers too! I love how Melissa layers things up!!!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2012

I was so excited to see this set featured for 2012. I made tons of cards with it, and just loved all the possibilities for different color combinations.

I'm heading for vacation in the morning and visiting my sister-in-law who is an avid  reader. So I will be taking this quick little book mark to her. I know she'll love it! Wish I had time to play more, but I'm off to finish packing!

Happy Stamping!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2011

I've got a baby card today, using Dawn's Background Basic set. I've also used her Boutique Borders set, and her Tucked In set is stamped on the inside!

Thank you Dawn for all your inspiration and wonderful designs. Today I'm celebrating you!

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2010

Thank How fun to revisit A Wreath for All Seasons! I've now made my first Christmas card for 2017! I chose this beautiful card from Dawn for Inspiration. She always puts together amazing colors for her creations.

I chose more traditional colors, and used some of my new papers and ribbon from the January sale......

Celebrating the Past, Present and Future: 2009

I don't own any of the featured sets today, but always loved the "On my Couch" set.  I decided to use those cards as my springboard for today's card.  I went and looked at the 2009 sets, and found one of my favorites, Vintage Picnic!  I thought it was so innovative, and asked for it for Christmas that year.  I was delighted to receive it from my kids.  It was so fun to pull out and ink up again!

I added ribbon and remembered how you never made a card without it back then!  I especially love to use ribbon when I don't have to mail the card.  This is going to a coworker next week, so I don't have to worry about postage for bulk.
