COLOR BLOCKING THREE WAYS

Good Morning!  Today I've got a card I made for two challenges!  This week's Make it Monday, and the Color Throwdown #453.  It was a great pairing of challenges!

You can find the ctd453 challenge  here,

Laurie gave three options for color blocking, and I chose to work with scrap papers., the bright colors paired nicely with my Some Like it Hot stamps. I topped it off with some fun new embellishments from Stamping up.

Love it when stuff comes together! Thanks for stopping by!

JULY 2017 BLOG HOP INSPIRATION

Soft blues and pretty blooms were in our inspiration this month.

I started by making a background with Faded Jeans distress ink. Then I hear embossed the leafy circle in Silver.

I added a few flowers and leaves and finished with some white seam binding. Love the sentiments in Pen and ink, and this one was added in navy ink.

Here is a closeup of the silver...

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy the Hop!

MAKE IT MONDAY #291: EMBOSS RESIST SHADOW SENTIMENT

I was able to play Make it Monday this afternoon. This was a fun and easy technique! I chose Big Hugs to work with, it's a favorite, as I have lots of family far away.

I used Royal Velvet for the Sentiments and Aqua Mist and Hawaiian Shores for the blending.

Have a great week, and Happy Stamping!

CREATE ALONG WITH US: JULY 2017

So many pretty projects this month! I finally settled on this card from Dawn for my inspiration!

I was drawn to it because of the colors, all my favorites! Not to mention the great Coverup stamp...

Here's what I came up with

My turquoise zig pen has run dry, so I used my peerless watercolors for the background. This will head to my sister for her birthday this week! Have a great week everyone!

MAKE IT MONDAY #290: COMBINING STENCILING AND MASKING

Happy 4th of July to all my American friends. So thankful to live in a country that is free and full of blessings. Today I am off, it's an official holiday for the bank.  So I'm happy to have some crafty time this morning. I have a Make it Monday done already!

I'm glad I purchased the Herb Garden kit. It's a pleasure to use, and I happily pulled out the square stencil to play. I also used Spring Woods. It worked great for the card I planned.

At first, I wasn't going to use a bird, but it just added a sweet touch for my sympathy card.

Thanks for looking, hope you have a great day!
